Hawks are performing better than expected, but so are other teams.

Lets call this thread for what is actually is ........100% correct
Cheers mate figured the site needed some positivity and the Hawks have done a mad job in 2023

Don’t know why the Cats fans reckon I’m some chronically online Richmond goose just because I don’t hate Hawthorn. Don’t particularly care either 😬

Jhye Clark - future superstar touted as the next Joel Selwood.
I wouldn't swap Clark for anyone let alone for someone from Hawthorn.
Not sure if serious. I'd take at least half a dozen of our young players at least over Jhye. Newcombe had 40 today against Bont and co. Bruhn can't even get 20 for eg. There's a bit of denial going on with some Cats posters by the sounds of it. And referencing Easter Monday is just about irrelevant now. 20 rounds ago.

Be pretty exciting to be a Hawks fan over 2025-2030.

Still missing a few chess pieces and Sicily is still far too important as one player, but they're well on their way and really enjoyable to watch. A second quality KPD is a must, and probably a second quality KPF to support Lewis.

Yeah this. Our midfield is set. We probably need another KPD and KPF and some some forward class in general.

Hopefully they can pick up those pieces in the next couple of years.

STRONGandBALD copped a ban unfortunately.

If Sicily can stay out of MRP trouble and the Hawks find another good KPD, might even be a finals chance next year
If Lewis had have played the full year we’d be giving it a shake right now - 7 games without a key forward while the midfield got to know each other is a big reason for why we sit where we sit.

If Lewis plays against Giants and Crows, we very likely have 2 more wins.

Sad the dockers went down a bit in 2023. 14th with 10 wins and 13 losses.

I expect the dockers to finish 7th to 10th next season with a better fixture

Trealoar and Dunkley said this on their podcast late in the season.

They seemed to have heard that Hawthorn were also doing a bit of work in targeting players to add too.

Freos list was 15th for ave age 16th for experience this year but list measurements can be deceiving
We were bottom 2 for both in multiple rounds.
Our players 30+ hardly played and not one will be in the top 10 of bnf.
Our 30+
Colyer 0 games
Wilson 4
Hamling 4
Fyfe 9
Walters 20

Exciting times for the hawks and have some real top end talent in Sicily and Lewis. Will need just a little more depth but reckon Mitchell will have them purring by 2025.

We beat them this year and are higher on the ladder than them.
Not sure how they're closer to a premiership?
North are closer to a premiership if we're using youth quantity as a measuring stick.

Lazy article, it ranks 5 teams as drawing age when they are not. You can go further than 1 decimal point and it would be extremely rare to have two teams on the same age based on 40-44 players.

Collingwood older than Richmond.

Sydney 13th
North 14th
Freo 15th
