Only man that could possibly turn them into a competitive unit within a couple of years is Paul Roos. Wish he would take up the job instead of stinking up the commentary box tbh.
Only have to look at what Ross Lyon has done at Freo to see that you can change mentally weak players into fearless warriors with the right people in change
I agree, sort of.
Freo had shown some grit and determination before RLyon came though. They had played and won finals two years previous and but for one of the worst injury lists in recent history where Harvey had something like 24 odd fit players to pick from in the last few weeks, would have likely played finals the year before too.
Roos (or someone like him) would have got something going I'm sure, but Melbourne are an all together different kettle of fish at the moment. It would take even a supreme coach a few years to get them looking like an AFL team again.
