I dunno, they could have just gone opened the bidding for their scientists and requested them to experiment until they found the most efficient substance to destroy half a city and 100000 civilians in one night and never mind bothering to create "targets". How many U.S citisens had the japs killed on contiguois U.S soil (ignoring how it came to be "U.S" soil) to prompt such measures? How many Israeli's had hamas killed in Israel, ignoring how Israel was born. Its progress, right? This must be the most expensive and slowest, given the power inbalance and population density, genocides b/w human neighbours ever.

The IDF aren't an army anymore, just a pack of campaigners.

There's a real chance they'll get slaughtered if a real war (not an asymmetric one) breaks out cos they've been so conditioned by their ghettoisation of Gaza that they think war is bombing civilians. Unlike the IDF of 50 or 60 years ago.

You couldn't apply Israels tactics somewhere like Ukraine cos they exclusively involve attacking civilian centres with air superiority. Even tho this is happening on a smaller scale in Ukraine the conflict is focused on warfare along lines between standing armies.
