They won't. We'll turn up because it'll be a chance for a win. We're the ultimate, ultimate downhill skiers. As soon as anything gets too hard, we fold. But if it's easy/winnable, we try. We might still lose, but we'll be alert for the game and I hate it
We’ve now reached the point where EVERY side knows that if they apply a frantic level of pressure for a quarter, we’ll fold and they’ll create enough of a margin that we can’t overcome it.

We’re ****ed.

I said my sinking feeling at last years Collingwood game was more than the loss - it was that we'd failed a test to change our identity and our destiny.

I'm convinced winning that game at that time would've had us starting to believe. As in really believe, not just spout utter horseshit about belief.

When we lost I felt and posted that it would scar us. Many shit sides with talent have had those opportunities presented over the years and those that take them more often than not reroute their path. Those that don't - we're living it.

Fate doesn't always offer you a 50th chance.

Yesterday was a chance for a win, and they didn't turn up.

Not really mate. Win or lose that game we still can’t defend or have a structure to defend.

Heard even JB talking about it this morning about how poor are structurally at that facet of the game.

Collingwood came back so easily because our side is so poor at defending both individually and structurally.

It’s been that way for ages.

West Coast showed it last year.

We bravado’ed over it through the summer like we were doing something.

Nope.

We stand about as tall as a snowman in a sauna.

Just a gut thing on this one. I never felt confident and it just felt like a fork in the road for me.

I knew many posters would take it as encouraging but I strongly felt it would deny us that "arrival" game every emerging side needs.

Hawthorn 2005 had theirs over Brisbane, this was ours and we bottled it.

Structural deficiencies notwithstanding.

It affects mindset.

We lose games before they start.

That Collingwood game was a chance for us to win one no one saw coming.

It’s not even the whole game that made us fall apart.

If Crisp doesn’t kick to goal going into half time we likely hit the third a bit better and who knows.

But we break down and the small voice that says we can’t becomes some fat lady singing and we’re done.

We lost the last two round last year in the final two minutes of the West Coast game.

We lost the last two games during the Sydney game.

We’re cooked. We’re mentally fragile all team know it and they use pressure and speed to exploit it.

The coach doesn’t have the answer, the players don’t have the answer. Us in the cheap seats don’t have the answer.

When we start losing we should start fights. Who f***ing knows maybe that will spark something in them to stop bending over and assuming the position.

Not to me it wasn't. All week felt like we'd get smashed. For all Carlton's flaws, they usually at least try, and they're bookended by two elite KPPs along with an athletic ruckman. That's enough to thrash us. Richmond will be different, and we'll go into it with a slightly different psychological mindset (edit: as if there are any other kinds)

Farkin hell.

Anyone getting the sense that Yze might actually be a gun coach?

The tigers are massively over performing this season.
