Bolton is a allright in, does a pretty good job on Goodes.

Am I imagining things or did the commentators mention that Pev was injured late in our last game ?

I'm not sure we need the extra tall. I'm guessing Laycock is there as much to exploit Sydney's lack of height in defence as to help Hille out.

Good to have Welsh back.

We are playing at the SCG. It's a small ground and we need Campo's polish.

Hille and Ryder can share the ruck duties as they do not have a tall forward line.

I don't like it. I hope there might be a late change.

Small ground does however create more body on body contests which is a weakness in both Campo and Dysons games.

Happy with the Dyson omission.. lets just hope it's for good.

Campo was good in traffic against the Lions - he has footy smarts.

Can you honestly say that Bolton will give us more value than Campo?

The small SCG means many more contests and tighter play...Campo, Cole and Dyson all struggle with genuine contested footy.

We can assume Bolton is in to do a negating job on Goodes, Laycok in to not only give Hille a chop out, but allow Ryder to stay back and help with clogging their forward line as a tall who can mark - and Welsh is in our best 22 any day of the week.

I dont mind the team...not that I think it can win.

Go on boys, prove me wrong!

i dont like the idea of bringing a player in based on the fact that he shuts down one person from the other team, i feel better when a player has earnt their spot i dont feel bolton has done that. campo should have probably stayed in and bolton out imo...
glad welsh is back though, we needed him to shut down malceski/kenelly if his playing. i dont like bringing laycock in either, everitt will run forward a hell of a lot and laycock cant defend

what happens if bolton plays well and keeps goodes down for the day? is he then omitted next week even after doing a good job?

thats another reason why i dont like bringing him in because he is probably going to shut down goodes to a degree based on recent performances and then his just gonna be omitted?? dont like the idea of omitting a player after a good game

I like these decisions. They've kept Houli in as I hoped, and finally dropped Dyson the potato cake. Bolton's inclusion I'm a bit wary of, but you would think it is only short term :p

I think he will against the swans, Campo is past his prime by about 8 years, we need someone capable of stopping the swans prime-movers and i agree with the match selection panel i think that Bolton is definantly the man for goodes.

Fair enough to say that about Dyson, but Campo, no. I dont think campo should have been omitted at all.

I have faith in Boltons inclusion for this game and probably this game only. I reckon we have selected the team that is best equipped to take the swans on, it is physical and is largely untouched from the last two weeks. Campo and Dyson aren't contact players they are more of outside midfielders who wont be needed as much on a small ground. You can expect the long kickers to play a massive role and the in and midfielders ie. Watson, Johnson and Pev to be the impact players IMO.

I really don't think we have.

Skill-wise, most likely not...match up wise...by a street.

I think we could have played another in and under midfielder.

I wouldnt call Campo 'in and under' In his prime, perhaps...with us, he usually awaits a spillage or give give off. Lonergan wouldve been perfectly suited for this game, especially if Sydney experience some rain over the next couple of days.
