If we could wrangle an early 2nd for him that would be pretty good.

So who are the ones most likely to move on:
Doc
Whitecross
Poppy?

But what are the odds of them moving on?
Doc - 80%
Whitecross - 50%
Poppy - 25%
?

There's not been any noise re Whitey has there?

People just always seem to think that because he was from Qld, one of the Qld clubs would come knocking, but I don't know if they ever have...

It comes down to contract offers. If we offer him 1 year deals from now on, with a warning that 2018 may be his final year, and Brisbane or GCS offer him 2 or 3, then he would probably move.

Its not so much about QLD either, its about Fagan having far better knowledge of our mid tier players than most, and being better able to judge their value.

That said, one of the big issues for the northern teams is players leaving them to go home. Being able to get QLD players clearly reduces that risk.

Well, he kinda didn't play for two years there and we're not sure if they came knocking prior to that in 2011-2012. I imagine they would have.

I think it's safe to assume we are going to have at least 2 but more likely 3 players through the door through trades or as DFA's

The reasoning is that we have not taken any more then 3 players in the national draft since 2010 and that includes rookie upgrades and amazingly includes 2015 where we had 2 1st rounders and still didn't select anyone after Hardwick at #44.

We clearly don't rate draft picks and only take the 3 picks because we have to.

We will also played 1 player short on the list this year as well.

We can also take at least 2 rookies to replace Fitz and Surman.

In short there is going to be a large turnover this off season that's for sure.

I don't think it's about rating draft picks as much as it's about rating known value against potential value. I think GW loves the challenge of finding the unexpected diamond in the later draft rounds, it must be pretty boring being a list manager and having a free 3-4 picks in the first 10...

I certainly don't dislike Stewart, I just don't see the fuss. I got more excited watching Switkowski playing this year than I did Stewart.

I still see some Wingard in him, the movements, the kicking style, just hasn't got the class or tank just yet. Still something to work with imo

Whitey seems settled in Victoria, he has set up his landscaping business perhaps he is ok with 1 year deals.

You love it
It's all Greek to me.
Why?
Cos.
If at first you don't succeed, Troy Troy again.
I wonder if the boys are playing a game of hide and Greek.
Perhaps the gate at waverley is squeaking a lot and they've gone to get some Greece.
Perhaps they've gone to see the solar Greclipse.

Now you see what kind of stuff you encourage, its all your fault ORA. Next it will be Beatles records again.

i think the HFC should

delist: Hartung, O'Rourke, Willsmore

upgrade rookies: Glass + Cousins

Use Pick 43 + 68 and maybe 75 in the draft (Hodge + Gibson retired)

39 on list... minus 5 players, add 2 rookies, 3 places for draftees (u/18 or SANFL/VFL/WAFL recruits)

A lot will come down to a club encouraging Billy to nominate for the PSD. We won't stand in his way. If Billy stays Stewart and Willsmore will get the chop.

Best available at 43 leaning towards an outside runner with balls.

CJ at 68, Glass elevated with 75.

Rookie list Olango and Langford.

Can't agree with this.

He's not top quality, but we'd be even worse for outside run without him.

He played almost every game, averaged 22 disposals, and is in his early 20s.

That is not a delist. I imagine we would offer him a contract. Whether he thinks that contract is commensurate with his worth is another matter.
