If we could have got something for him in a trade then sure let him go but why not keep him for at least 1 more year.

See if he can turn around whatever it is clarko doesn't like.

Sure Billy was improving, but have we got room in the 1's to continue that? We've got to fit in a whole wealth of talent across the 22, those returning from injury, some young guns, and some bulls who want their shot as well. The inclusion of JOM and Impey should spell the end of his run
I hope we can give him a contract, provided.

1. He's happy to stay on the list and run round at BH. There are so many more that we need to pump time into.
2. We're not going to delist JOR (more upside, even though a potentially riskier longshot), or Heatherley (constantly improving and good depth).
3. We actually continue the same game plan that requires his run. I'm predicting Clarko has a plan that will counter the need to play an endurance athlete as opposed to a more rounded, slightly less athletic footballer. ie. not expose us to the the liabilities that Billy carried.

Hope he can stay in the game somehow, but we gotta aim higher.

It would seem a big turnaround from Billy playing regular games (albeit in an injury depleted side) to being delisted.

I don't buy it.

The biggest reason to keep Hartung is that if we lose Smith to injury we are absolutely gutted for outside pace and endurance. Henderson is an okay replacement - but without Smith and Hartung I don't see how we have a midfield that stacks up.

Hartung is an absolute insurance policy - and for that reason alone he should get another year.

Maybe Hartung thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere as a delisted FA, looking at Wrights comments it sounds as if there are some restrictions on our salary cap

If Clarko doesn't like Hartung why does he get so many games? Even when Hill and Smith were playing he played nearly every game he was fit for.

And while frustrating he wasn't awful. Was unable to gut run wisely like Hill to get easy goals in the goalsquare (something Henderson did really well). Would like to give him another chance to get there.

Wow, Clarko must really have issues with this kid.

Whilst I can see problems with the way he plays, I saw improvements particularly in the past year. For me, one to persevere longer with. Can still remember his first few games, I thought we found a good player. Just not the same after his shoulder injury ...

I hope he finds a good club to play for. Good luck Billy! Thanks for your efforts.
