Why when a story only generates curiosity do media still run with it. The articles around these distasteful sites "hunting" for nudes are just encouraging others to join in. Would of been more appropriate to leave the story alone

What's with the influx of the hashtag #itsokaytotalk ? I'm seeing on Facebook tonight and it just feels like an empty gesture by these guys. They say it's a good idea, but its one post on Facebook. That ain't doing shit to help curb the trend of suicide.
They're doing more shit than doing nothing at all.

Other than awareness and appearing on my Facebook feed, it's achieving nothing.
You admit that it's achieved awareness, and it has obviously grabbed your attention, yet you're still dissatisfied.

What would you prefer them to do?

Why JK Rowling can't move on from Harry Potter. Apparently she's got a few new short stories coming out soon to go along with the play/book and the spin off film and her constantly telling us about what she thinks might have happened to the characters in the future and how she wished she had fleshed out characters by mentioning their favourite colour and on and on....

Let it go Jo.

She's probably just answering questions from interviewers who only want to ask her about Harry Potter.

But only reaching the extent of their facebook friends.

Actually, actively do something instead of just sitting behind a computer.
That's like saying, why donate 50 dollars instead of donating 100. Or why donate 100 dollars if you could donate 200 and so forth.

Anything is better than nothing. I don't see the need to throw stones at those who have good intent, whether or not what they're doing is frivolous.

I mean, have you actively done something rather than just sit behind a computer?

Them dollar bills.

Although i read today she is the first person ever to fall off the billionaire rich list due to giving money to charity so more power to her.
I think it would be more of a case of her just wanting to flesh out a story and a world she created literally from her own mind.

If I created my own universe with characters and a story I'm absolute passionate about, and I feel like there are more aspects and stories to tell (which there are in the Harry Potter universe), AND there are millions of people absolute froffing over it.... then I'd ****ing do it.

I see people linked in posts that weren't that nice to me at school. And some that continuously bullied me during that time as well. Made me feel like shit and worthless. It's the fact that they acted like what they did a few years ago, but seem to be all 'save the world' about it now.

Hey, I'm a HP kid! Read all the books, saw the films, was in love with Emma Watson from age 8 through til... well I still am a bit I guess, but I have no interest in reading the play thing or these short stories or seeing the new film.

The more it gets dragged out, the more the magic (for lack of a better word) wears off.

IMO, of course. ;)

Of course not. I'm not sure what you're getting at?

Seems like a better perspective to view it as people can change after high school and become more empathetic.

Haha yeah I and I agree to a certain extent - I signed up straight away to Pottermore and soon lost interest. But proper stories and stuff like the Cursed Child are just little bits of magic. IMO [emoji12]

My workmate who had his car stolen from the staff car park yesterday.

Left keys in ignition and doors unlocked (obviously if keys in ignition) because he "hates to carry his car keys around all day" end quote.

o_Oo_Oo_O

I leave my keys in my top drawer in my desk. But leaving them in the car? That's all kinds of stupid.

And here I was getting annoyed at myself for having my phone in a pocket where it could easily slip out.

That's just absurd. I must admit I hate having lots of things in my pocket, particularly keys which seem to get annoying sometimes, but surely that's what having a desk or a locker/pigeon hole is for.

Idiotic.

People tend to grow up. If you judge people based on how they behaved at school you'll end up a very bitter person.
