And here we have it. The Yarra Valley school incident not even cold news. May I suggest these are just the tiny tip of a very large iceberg? Politicians throwing money around will not make a skerrick of difference to attitudes that seem to fester within all levels of society. Not by ALL men, of course. But no one seems to call it out when it happens.
 
I have a medical condition that requires me to get scripts from my specialist every couple of months. Just emailed them as per usual process to organise collection and get told they now have a ‘$30 script fee’.

**** off, you charge $200 for a 25 minute appointment.

Had one yesterday 2 hours of presentation to people who had already seen and commented on the material, all to cater to the project lead who should have seen and endorsed it.

30 people sitting around twiddling our thumbs for 2 hours.

**** me what a painful meeting, achieved nothing except wasted an hour of our time. Just had a quick 3 way phone convo with two other colleagues whinging about it ha ha

I had to do an online Sexual Harassment in the Workplace seminar this morning.

I work from home 4/5 days.

Now I can't even enjoy my own company.

In her defence she went to the doctor to get a prescription and nothing more. She was happy with her body and the doctor has gone off on a body shaming tangent.

I reckon it’s taken me about 18 months to get back to “normal” after a meniscus tear and torn ankle ligaments only to roll the ankle badly yesterday, re-injuring both - I seriously want to cry

Body shaming? Fat is not healthy and a doctors job is to tell the patient when they aren't healthy

No different to a patient coming in smelling like tobacco smoke and having the doctor telling them they need to stop

You can carry weight and still be healthy. I think it was more the words the doctor used that upset her.

Possibly but the facts it's news worthy highlights a bigger societal issue.

I mean you could technically be a smoker or an alcoholic and be healthy. A doctor telling someone to not drink so much or not to smoke is fine, but telling them to watch what they eat is not? Strange times

Yeah I agree that it’s not a newsworthy story. I think it’s pretty common for doctors to have poor bedside manners but taking your hurt feelings to the news happens way too much these days.

Oh god no !
That’s sux !

I’m going through grade 2 ankle ligament damage and only a month in
Some improvement but still feels like a ways to go
I was hoping 3 months and I’d be jogging again

Im feeling for you
This is hell not being able to do sport and proper exercise
Gone back to yoga , swimming and beach walks but just not the same

I tore my meniscus twice in a (relatively) short amount of time. I feel your pain!

Straight sized seems a really odd label to me. I get it’s a response to plus sized but really can’t we just all be “sized”.
