Keber has had a great year, hopefully she can win the US Open.
Wonder if she will be awarded player of the year
She has it locked up regardless of the result in the final, imo. Silver medallist at the olympics, world number 1, 3 grand slam finals and at least one major title.Keber has had a great year, hopefully she can win the US Open.

Give it to Gold Medallist Monica PuigWonder if she will be awarded player of the year

You're a bundle of joy aren't youI haven't wanted anyone in the last 10 years or so setting any records, male or female. Margaret Court was before my time, and as much as I loved Steffi, I couldn't care that it's her that's got the record. I just don't want anyone in the "non-sweating, non-breathing, quick-recovery-after-incredibly-long-rallies, hardly-ever-injured" era to achieve these records. Clearly don't need to be Einstein to work out where I'm coming from. Stoked Serena is out.
The same goes for the men's tour. Unfortunately if the worlds tennis love-boy gets overtaken in the most Grand Slams won, it will be by another bloke who also looks like they've just walked around the corner for a carton of milk rather than play a grueling 5-setter.

I'm a hit at a dinner party.
Might be very early days, but the younger brigade coming through, through my very amateur yet suspicious eyes, look to be more on the level. And different styles of tennis coming back in too. Hoping the next era will be more variable, entertaining and cleaner than what we've recently been through.
