someone had to get the 1 vote...and since i didn't think there were any more standouts, i went to look at statistics, which say Symes had 24 possessions, 10 of which were contested, and 3 clearances. probably not the best choice, but there weren't many decent players on the day.

No, more seriously -- because I rate Sloane's refusal to quit and ability to lift the rest of the team (as evidenced by my giving him three BTM votes), and think it earns him the extra point in ROTY.
