Yep, he certainly has the body type and athleticism we traditionally like in that position, though I guess that may change if Yze gets the gig.
I thought his debut was really impressive, a couple more pre-seasons and I suspect he'll be a regular senior player.

Wing or a Grime replacement. He’s got the Grimes closing speed and smarts about him. Wouldn’t mind swinging him forward when the chips are down as he has this knack of finding the ball and could snag a couple.
Not sure on his explosive speed. Don’t think he has that but his pace isn’t an issue. Seems to have good closing speed.
Knows exactly where to be on the footy field...

I thought he was one of our better debuts in a while. Our recruiting of this type of players has been A+ for a while. Let’s hope he goes on to have a career like Broad.

Am I the only one that sees a bit of Tom Stewart in him?
As soon as he gets some games under his belt, and builds that confidence to where he believes he belongs, he'll be as good as Tom Stewart is what I'm saying.

Easily our best and most reliable intercept defender at VFL level while also being the best 1v1. Doesn't have Gibcus height but Gibcus isn't getting genuine key talls so shouldn't be an issue.
I've probably seen every one of his games. He's a half back. A tall will come in for Gibcus.
Trezise is more in the Vlastuin mould than Gibcus, but I see your logic. I reckon they'll just rely on Broad to play taller (which I think he does well) and go with Brown who seems to be ahead of Trezise by a whisker.
Which makes it worse. The role he plays is more akin to the role of a third tall than it is to a rebounding defender.
His opponent is most of these contest is Lorde and Burton.
His kicking was noticeably better today than last year.
