What makes Gary Ablett Jnr such a gun?

I did, I just thought you would prefer stats as you were the one who brought them up.

Anyway aside from being better than Dusty I would argue that it is Abletts balance, goal kicking ability and skill that makes him such a gun.

Also I'm ignoring you now as I haven't had to argue with children since I was one myself and it's getting boring.
And Dusty doesn't have these attributes?

If Dustin Martin played a full year as a foward he would kick 50+

Ablett played a full year as a midfielder and kicked 44. Seems like a decent effort when you marry it with his 31 touches a game, 4 tackles, 5 clearances etc.

Edit: I just realised I already replied to this. Still, telling the truth twice is still telling the truth.

I didn’t say he’s better than Matthews.
Bartlett > Ablett
403 games 778 goals 5 B&Fs 3 in premiership years multiple years kicking 50 plus as a midfielder Norm Smith in 1980 if they were handed out back then he would have also won one in 1973 5 premierships among the the best in each lead Richmond's goal kicking 4 times 3 times playing as a midfielder Ablett doesn't even compare

But I thought you said football is not played on paper Dusty won almost every medal this year kinda tips the scales in his favour
Would have tied the Brownlow with Dangerfield had Danger not been suspended for a legitimate tackle and then had the umpires intentionally refrain from rightfully awarding him his 3 votes against Collingwood.

And? I’m not old enough to have watched Bartlett play but from the absolute battalion of people who have, I have never once heard a single one of them try to claim Bartlett is even in the conversation. Apart from being a demented old piece of shit who hasn’t made a worthwhile comment on the sport in decades.

Funny how in 4 of these 5 years he was kicking 50 plus goals, apparently as a genuine midfielder, he averaged less than 20 touches.

F***in shit midfielder then.

Averaged 23.04 touches and kicked 53 goals in 1971 and 28.91 and kicked 55 in 1977 also in 1974 averaged 29.41 and kicked 47 in 1975 averaged 24.32 kicked 42 in 1978 averaged 24.73 kicked 44 and the other 3 years he kicked 84, 58 , 58 playing as a foward in his 30s Ablett has barely played in his 30s... you just lost

Oh sorry I was WAY off. Instead of 1 season with 50+ and 20, it was 2. Oh well he’s better than Dunstall, Lockett, Matthews and both abletts combined in that case.

So what if Ablett has barely played in his 30s. Boomer Harvey played twice as many games in his 30s as John Coleman did for his career. Maybe they should strike a medal for Harvey and get rid of the one named after Coleman.
