Could almost argue the same about Dusty
No Richmond played better as a team.

Could almost argue the same about Dusty
And Dusty doesn't have these attributes?I did, I just thought you would prefer stats as you were the one who brought them up.
Anyway aside from being better than Dusty I would argue that it is Abletts balance, goal kicking ability and skill that makes him such a gun.
Also I'm ignoring you now as I haven't had to argue with children since I was one myself and it's getting boring.
Dusty as arguably been as good as Ablett was at the same point in his careerDustin isn’t at Ablett juniors level as a player. Needs 4-5 more years of top level production

Kevin Bartlett, Leigh Matthews, Michael Voss and Dustin Martin just a few
If Dustin Martin played a full year as a foward he would kick 50+
Kevin Bartlett and Leigh Matthews are both easily better than Ablett Voss is a far better leader and has more effect on a team then just his own game and Dusty has the potential to end up betterRofl
Don’t be sad.Kevin Bartlett and Leigh Matthews are both easily better than Ablett Voss is a far better leader and has more effect on a team then just his own game and Dusty has the potential to end up better
How is Ablett better than either Bartlett or Matthews?Don’t be sad.
One out of 4 ain’t bad.
Dusty being a better player than Danger is a big reason why Richmond won the grand final and Geelong didn't
How is Ablett better than either Bartlett or Matthews?
Bartlett > AblettI didn’t say he’s better than Matthews.
Would have tied the Brownlow with Dangerfield had Danger not been suspended for a legitimate tackle and then had the umpires intentionally refrain from rightfully awarding him his 3 votes against Collingwood. But I thought you said football is not played on paper Dusty won almost every medal this year kinda tips the scales in his favour
And Dusty should have polled 3 against CarltonWould have tied the Brownlow with Dangerfield had Danger not been suspended for a legitimate tackle and then had the umpires intentionally refrain from rightfully awarding him his 3 votes against Collingwood.
Bartlett > Ablett
403 games 778 goals 5 B&Fs 3 in premiership years multiple years kicking 50 plus as a midfielder Norm Smith in 1980 if they were handed out back then he would have also won one in 1973 5 premierships among the the best in each lead Richmond's goal kicking 4 times 3 times playing as a midfielder Ablett doesn't even compare
Averaged 23.04 touches and kicked 53 goals in 1971 and 28.91 and kicked 55 in 1977 also in 1974 averaged 29.41 and kicked 47 in 1975 averaged 24.32 kicked 42 in 1978 averaged 24.73 kicked 44 and the other 3 years he kicked 84, 58 , 58 playing as a foward in his 30s Ablett has barely played in his 30s... you just lostAnd? I’m not old enough to have watched Bartlett play but from the absolute battalion of people who have, I have never once heard a single one of them try to claim Bartlett is even in the conversation. Apart from being a demented old piece of shit who hasn’t made a worthwhile comment on the sport in decades.
Funny how in 4 of these 5 years he was kicking 50 plus goals, apparently as a genuine midfielder, he averaged less than 20 touches.
F***in shit midfielder then.
Still doesn't change the fact that Richmond flogged Geelong in the finalsRichmond insecurity is off the charts. Constantly feeling the need to bring up Martin in a thread about Ablett.![]()
You guys have drunk your own bath water. Two years ago he was best known for threatening old ladies with chopsticks. Get some perspective, he hasn't done nearly enough to lick Ablett's boots.Dusty as arguably been as good as Ablett was at the same point in his career
I know, it makes it that much sadder that you're still carrying on like this.Still doesn't change the fact that Richmond flogged Geelong in the finals![]()

exactly Bartlett was still elite into his 30s Ablett's old man body was falling apartOh sorry I was WAY off. Instead of 1 season with 50+ and 20, it was 2. Oh well he’s better than Dunstall, Lockett, Matthews and both abletts combined in that case.
So what if Ablett has barely played in his 30s. Boomer Harvey played twice as many games in his 30s as John Coleman did for his career. Maybe they should strike a medal for Harvey and get rid of the one named after Coleman.
And in the end of the day I will be comfortable with the knowledge of Richmond's supremacy over GeelongI know, it makes it that much sadder that you're still carrying on like this.
But...but...but...but...Richmond!![]()
