What time are MCC members lining up?

Such bullshit, that paid up club members try everything and miss out whilst MCC members can still just roll up on the day and get a seat.

**** I hope the MCG monopoly is broken one day.

I understand the frustration, but MCC members still pay for that privilege. Its one of the reasons why membership is so highly sought after.

Yeah how dare they get a return on their investment.

Without the MCC there is no MCG.

Suck it up.

Why? How much revenue does the ground make from non MCC members, club fees, royalties, etc?

Anyways I don't really care about it all year, just saying at the GF those seats should go to competing club members imo.

Who owns the MCG?

Thats not true by a long way. The MCC is the operator of the MCG with a contract that may or may not be extended with/without a tender process. been that way since 1931.
They developed it. They run it. It's their ground.

Hey can anyone tell me if the MCC own the MCG? I'm not sure.
Probably the taxpayers or something. The MCC just manage the MCG.

Lined up at 6am. Got prime seats on the 3rd level centre wing. Beautiful. Hope now, having a nap, shower and will head back in at midday.

People who sleep out are a bit silly, but it's fun as well. Did it for the cricket, would likely do it for a Dees grand final if I didn't get in the ballot.

100,000 (and soon to be close to 150,000) MCC members pay many times over for the 23,000 reserve and keep the stadium running and first class for the rest of the place.

A large majority of the fans lining up this morning were Hawks fans, with many in official Hawthorn membership gear. A decent smattering of Eagles fans as well. Very silly to presume all of the MCC is filled with neutrals today when it isn't.
