Unnecessary topic at this stage. Until at least half way through the season who knows who the better teams will be. I'm confident Geelong can beat anyone but wary they could easily lose round one at Port and it would not be the end of the world either.

After following footy for more than four decades I don't think that I could put it any better than Rizzo. At least not in such a concise manner.

Geelong won the GF by over 100 points, was 4 games clear at the top of the ladder, had 9 AA, had Brownlow and Normsmith medalists and won 17 games in a row. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do this well one season and not do well the following season. Few if any team have had that kind of domination in recent years. Other GF winners West Coast and Sydney certainly haven't.
With saying that the team that could beat Geelong are: St.Kilda ( their list was built at a similar time and as a result it matches up well), Fremantle when firing and maybe Hawthorn. Geelong is by no means impossible to beat but the style of football they play is very hard to challenge. The success of Geelong isnt the list, its the way they play.

And without needing to look up any information, you lost to multiple teams last year.

...And for what its worth, no Collingwood fan thinks that ANZAC day is more important then in a team sense then any other H&A game of the season.
It is the second biggest spectacle. But certainly we understand that losing ANZAC day hurts less then losing ANY final.

those are three who really could beat geelong but honestly any team can beat geelong they just gotta play very good football. anything can happen, and upsets are never out of the question in football.

nothing will beat this side this year. that dosent mean i think they 25-0. they will loose a game like what happened to the bombers in 2000. i dont believe any team has improved other than carlton and they will win 6 games at best. st kilda have the same list as the last 4 years and they wont even get close to them. collingwood will go close

most sides can, but iff geelong are at there best they are unstoppable.To put it simple geelongs best is better than anybody else's best, anybody who thinks that geelongs best is not the best is kidding themselves.
wouldnt say hawthorn has the wood on geelong, geelong werent playing the level of football that won them the premiership when hawthorn won those 3 games.The weak after hawthorn beat geelong in tassie north beat them at skilled bu a bigger margin.

Geelong will be hard to beat again this year. Hawthorn could get close if they play to their potential. Fremantle might also get close to them as well.
