Seems like an excitable few are already pencilling in the engraving order on the 08 Cup?? Amazing, haven't played a proper game yet.

15 teams can beat geelong. One thing is for sure in footy, there are no certainties.

We nearly beat them in the 2nd most important game of the season
Hang on, we don't play the Anzac day game. Don't you f...ckers rate that as the second most important?
Lions in 01 had a similar year winning 16 straight (20 straight including 02)Geelong won the GF by over 100 points, was 4 games clear at the top of the ladder, had 9 AA, had Brownlow and Normsmith medalists and won 17 games in a row. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do this well one season and not do well the following season. Few if any team have had that kind of domination in recent years. Other GF winners West Coast and Sydney certainly haven't.

With saying that the team that could beat Geelong are: St.Kilda ( their list was built at a similar time and as a result it matches up well), Fremantle when firing and maybe Hawthorn. Geelong is by no means impossible to beat but the style of football they play is very hard to challenge. The success of Geelong isnt the list, its the way they play.
Barring injuries, which teams can realistically expect to run with or beat Geelong this year.
The obvious
- Hawthorn
- St Kilda
Are there any others and how can they do it?
Why are St.Kilda the obvious?
And North Melbourne probably did the best number on them in 2007 if thats anything to go by.
A/ Do you have a point?
B/ Make it quick!
Put a team of derros in the brown and gold and theyd beat geelong.
Its 3 games straight now and the wood is well and truly regained.
I was also wondering - when was the last time a premier had a team with the obvious wood on them (3 wins straight)
15 teams can beat geelong this year , nothing is certain
