Shortest pre season in history apparently. Didn't seem to bother Brisbane funnily enough
It did actually.

You might have noticed they were 2 and 5 at one stage of the season.

Couldn't do enough to finish top 4, but played a magnificent finals series to win the flag.

Credit to them, they've been knocking on the door for a few years now. Illustrative of how difficult it is to win a flag.

I'd rather the top 3 pick thanks. Half backs are not our biggest issue atm

But good to know Carltons half backers are all a concern due to aging yet Collingwood with the oldest list in the comp will have no issues? 😂
Safe to say that if a significant upgrade on any of Collingwood's aging players was available, we would have aggressively gone for it.

That's what good clubs do - continually improve their list.

I'm still waiting on the "analysis" as the why Carlton didn't finish in 13th, but the Pies finishing in mexico
There's been plenty of it, not our fault you either choose to ignore it or don't understand it.

But Carlton have peaked beautifully. Three consecutive seasons of 12, 13 and 13 wins to 'contend' for a top 8 position, without getting anywhere near premiership contention.

Now they've taken a step back to plan for the medium term, at a time when their top 6 players (a top 6 that Carlton rely on more than any other club in the competition) are in the prime of their careers.

Magnificently played, Carlton - you never fail to disappoint.

It's only your opinion they've taken a step back though, you have no idea what they have planned.

Going well so far, premiers to ninth.

I thought Shultz was the codename.
Interesting that you're applauding Carlton's delisting of Owies, as despite kicking 33 goals, he didn't apply forward pressure, yet bagging Schultz who was awarded the Gavin Brown 'Defensive Pressure' Award by his coaches, courtesy of his forward pressure...

How did McCrae let that happen, surely he would've wanted Naicos to win it?

No, it's fact based on the list changes they've made that are there for all to see.

Now you're hoping for internal improvement and/or immediate impact of your new draftees, which would have happened anyway with or without the retention of the durable and reliable Kennedy and Owies.

As i said your opinion, Cerra for Kennedy, Lord for Carrol and Moir for Owies, looks better to me and don't forget an elite mid at 3 and I'm enjoying the ignorant ratings on the Campo twins.

Still couldn't answer the question, here are your predictions/" analysis" for the last 3 Carlton seasons

2022 8 wins, 50% out
2023 & 2024, 13th

Where is your analytical data for these fail predictions and your thesis as to why they were fail predictions

Oh boy, this will be entertaining

Fantasia makes Schultz look like he was worth pick 10 and a second rounder!

He was useless at Essendon, useless at Port and then Carlton came along and said yep, we've seen enough, let's poach this guy. 🤣
We didn't give up a 1st and 2nd for him though, big difference.

But those 3 are already at your club.

Cerra struggles to get on the park, and you're relying on upside from Lord and Moir.

If they overtake them, then great. If they don't, then you'd still have Kennedy and Owies.

Campo twins were always going to get to Carlton. Could have been done by basic pick swaps.

You're finally getting it, we have enough young players to hopefully improve from within, would like a tall back for depth and they'll probably address that.

Thats an indictment on your playing list that Schitz won an award this season mearly for participation. Its like the coaches award in junior footy when most of the team get a trophy, and the fat little dud in the corner isn't left out so they make up an award for him to ensure that he doesn't go home crying that night
