Why did West Coast have to play in Hobart?

Wind has too much of an effect, which occurs at no other stadium around the country. How can teams be used to it when they play in those conditions once every 2 years compared to North multiple times each season?

I have the answer for you. All you have to do is name a special team whenever you play in tassie. Load up your team full of wafl players and first year draftees. They will be experienced with that special atmospheric event known as 'wind'. They might even have more experience than the north players!

Unless you are saying that wafl and u18 grounds are all afl standard?

Next you'll be complaining that it was too cold or games should be postponed due to rain.

Everything comes back to 'maximise revenue'.

If that was the case then why are clubs like North and Bulldogs in the league? They lose money and have to be propped up by the clubs that actually make a profit.

The AFL would 'maximise revenue' by getting rid of them
Maybe read up on how well the NHL went taking teams from their heartland and plonking them in "bigger markets"

Honestly, the league will always be compromised until every team plays each club both home and away at their designated home ground, and every final is played at the highest ranked side's home ground.

But we all know that will never happen. It is not a fair competition. It really is a sad state of affairs from an objective standpoint.

The problem is the stadium is not AFL standard as the wind plays too much havoc which results in a massive advantage to North as they play there regularly.

This problem as an away team should be given to every team in the league, not just certain teams, that is the problem

So every team should have to play away in Hobart because of the wind yer..good one genius ..the simple truth is You are a whinging flog pal after every game you pick through the weekend to find something to whinge about ....hope it never changes, must keep you awake at night the injustice of it all lol

Didn’t see much whining from West Coast fans when the Gold Coast had to play back to back games in Perth early on.
Didn't you? Thought it was quite unfair that Freo played them at home as an away game. WC didn't get that luxury

And this is why WCE MB posters are complete losers. They know they can't win s**t away from home so complain about all away games. Then complain about the G on GF day because they can only beat other interstate teams.

It's hilarious how entitled and clueless they are

Speaking of losers - have you even seen our away record this year? Check out the ladder

Uhh, someone has to?

Melbourne played them away there the previous two seasons FWIW. Our only game against them this year was a Melbourne home game.

We've also gone down the highway, played in Adelaide twice, played in the NT twice, played in Queensland twice and are going to play in Perth this year.

Give some evidence of this?

Maybe if your boys could stop Cunnington or Ahern you may have had a chance of winning.

It's not about today's game, it's about another disadvantage that is not shared by every team to make it an even competition

It isn’t changing ever, and we’ve never had a fair and equitable draw ever in the AFL. You need to pull your head out of the sand on this and deal with it.
It’s a pointless argument. Either move on or go follow the WAFL so the rest of us don’t have to read your “in a loop” same point posting.

Fair point, but I don't think you can count the NT games. They're your home games.
You can't sell games away and expect a better fixture for your away games to cover it.
