Why do giants get only a six day break?

Because they’re playing Collingwood, that’s why.
There! There Fitzey. Never mind. There's always next season.

Awaiting the tears when GWS get toweled up on Friday night...morons will blame the 6 day break.

Not the fact that Collingwood are a better team and that GWS Bradbury'd a finals spot.
If you'd watched both games you could see GWS played well and deserved each win. Not like their opponents 'should have won' based on scoring shots, inside 50s, expected score like Melbourne. Coll might be the better team, but GWS thoroughly deserve to be in a prelim.

Honestly, with the pre finals bye it won't be a big deal for GWS. Might even be in advantage with the momentum the Giants have. They look fit, didn't see any signs of them slowing down in either final. I don't expect fatigue to be a factor for either side Friday, both very well drilled and structured.

They were just lucky to play the worst team in the 8 and then a Port side with the poorest skill execution that I have seen in a final in a long time. Collingwood hardly any better so expect them to lose that as well but will be destroyed by Brisbane in the GF if that ends up the matchup.

I think if GWS maintain their composure/system etc they're a good chance to go all the way.

It will be a repeat of 2019 if they end up facing Brisbane imo. As I have said before, I don’t rate them at all and they have been incredibly lucky so far with the teams they have faced. Easiest run in finals.

Wait until you see the umpiring…

With a Collingwood v Carlton GF on the line, these two Prelim Finals might make the absolute stitch up job in the 2016 GF look mild.

Well we are over due for a good run in a final.

Pies vs Cats last year was a disaster

Pies vs Swans which was in Swans favour all night

Pies vs Dees which resulted in Dees getting the rub all night and getting a free pass to throw the ball whenever they wanted.

You must have missed all other 23 games of their home and away season. 🤣 Same thing almost every week. Throw ball, drop ball, never get penalised.

If your argument is that 1st deserves no advantage over 7th, then the only logical conclusion is that the season is pointless and football should be decided only through a tournament.

Having an entire season only for the benefit for eliminating just over half the teams and sometimes allocating home ground advantage - and sometimes disadvantage in grand finals - in a new mini-tournament is an incredible waste of everyone's time if you actually think about it.

But of course nobody will actually think about it. We will just go on arguing about the inherently stupid and unfair things that necessarily arise from a structurally stupid and compromised system, without ever coming to terms with how illogical the whole thing is.
