Its more or less trying to create the pattern whereby nurses prevent death and drugs and drugs only treat people I tend to think.

We will get to the point in the next 5-10 years where unless you are terminally ill or needing machine hookup you cant and wont be able to visit a hospital. If you want the alternative then you will have to pay up via health insurance and the like

The question here is a bit more complex and has to do with how hospitals have activity based funding. Essentially the WA government doesn’t want to pay this (large) private hospital more money than what public hospitals get paid for same activity

That answer is a bit of blind guess work based on pure hope.

There patient in take is down 3% and the budget is down 30%. The money is not going anywhere else, its a pure cut of funding. No re direction, just out of the system entirely

she Is going on an overseas junket to tokyo in a couple of weeks time and thinks she might not be able to get the Covid vaccine in two weeks time because of her trip. So she still chooses flu shot today over Covid shot.

And now she is a direct risk to bring back the virus going overseas and still chooses to get the flu shot over the Covid vaccine today.


meanwhile at her flu photo shoot today she reveals anyone who has been to a covid hot spot in Melbourne can’t come to queensland Without 14 day quarantine. Note this isn’t a flu hot spot. Just a covid hot spot she says as she gets vaccinated against the flu (Not Covid).

do you understand how much say the factions, the caucus, and the NC have on policy and admin in the ALP? esp for a state govt, its extremely difficult for a US presidential style rule within the party

I still expect Andrews will resign before the election, but its a major error to blame everything on Andrews. The cabinet determined policy, not one man

Are you beginning to question whether there's a conspiracy of governments and media to tell us lies?

The Wuhan lab leak origin of the virus was ridiculed until recently. Did they wait until enough people forgot that it was Trump's idea that the virus was created in China?

In the UK they are looking at 2021 being a year of record low fatalities. Covid-19 was mainly responsible for killing people a few months early who were already very sick. It did not target the young or healthy adults. The average age of death due to Covid-19 in 2020 was higher than the general average age of death.

The only metric that makes sense in Covid-19 policy is 'years of life lost'. Official statistics from the UK show that, in the 12 months ending in March, 304,555 fewer patients were given an urgent referral to hospital by their GP because of suspected cancer. The resultant 'years lost' might be much greater than those due to Covid-19.

And that's not taking into account the huge mental health, social, education and economic factors.

There's a lot of mentally deranged Americans who would take China's side just to spite Trump, despite him being absolutely correct. You'd think China's lack of transparency and a complete and utter unwillingness to cooperate in any investigations would be enough, but no. Orange man bad.

It's a sick world we live in.

Wasn't the source from SA quarantine (as in picked up from there) and then compounded by (yes another DHS * up) naming the wrong woolworths in Epping which made contact tracing late?

The cabinet process and consultations are probably a good reason why most of the govt decisions have actually been good espec before the HQ screwup. However when time pressures (real or perceived) or his ego/location has meant he hasnt consulted then his personal decisions (which he then refuses to acknowledge) have been woeful eg. dodgy guards for Hq, sudden curfew to help police the police didnt ask for, having to be warned about favouring foreign bidders for construction jobs while on a foreign funded junket.
