Hey Coasters, has Gazza been with the main group? Heard he has been struggling a bit over Christmas with a back and soleous strain. Is all ok with the little champion?

All is okay and he's been training fairly well. Had a couple of niggles but nothing major at all. Set to play NAB Cup!

Kayleen Bennell is Harley's lovely mother and has offered him lots of support over the past couple of years. She is of course, very proud of him. She posted this on FB today:

Think you should be good to get tickets at the gate. Wouldn't sell out. As for seats, most of them are pretty good! They all offer a good view of the park.

None at all. Not sure he's missed many sessions either! He's ready to roll and play an important part for us this year.

Blow for Bock as he is ruled out of season opener.

Although not yet able to participating in full-contact training, Kennedy said Nathans program was only slightly modified from the rest of SUNS squad.

“His week is similar in terms of the weights program and light skills sessions, but does not participate in any of the Club’s football conditioning sessions.”

GC SUNS attention turns to NAB Cup.

“Our key forwards have definitely taken their game to another level this summer,” said Bennell.
“(Tom) Lynchy, (Charlie) Dixon and (Sam) Day have all had fantastic pre-season, and are looking fitter and stronger than ever.”

Rischitelli puts hamstring woes behind him.

AFTER months of uncertainty, Gold Coast's Michael Rischitelli is a relieved man, finally getting on top of a troublesome hamstring problem.
Rischitelli played with the niggle for more than half of last season, but was unable to pinpoint the exact injury.

Latest injury update.

Nathan Bock – Leg – Bock is progressing well and is completing short running and skills session. The club will take a conservative approach with Bock and has not placed a time frame on his return.

Tom Lynch – Foot – Resumed with the main training group on Monday and is well and truly regaining full fitness. Expect to see the key tall forward play NAB Cup in either Round 2 or 3.

Trent McKenzie – Knee – McKenzie is pain-free and is completing leg weights and running activites. He has started training two days a week with the team and has started a comprehensive running program.

Clay Cameron – Groin – Is improving as expected and is scheduled to join the team for modified training in the next fortnight.

Liam Patrick – Hamstring – has commenced running and is expected to resuming training in 3-4 weeks.

Brandon Matera – Foot – has commenced a running program and has started a modified training program with the main group. Matera will step up his training in the coming weeks and is expected to be available for NAB Cup selection.

Timmy Sumner off the list already, have seen him running around on some of the latest vids as well. Hopefully he gets a run in the NAB cup because it may be the only time we get to see him this year.

Really pleased to see Seb progressing well, such a great kid

Fantastic to see Rischitelli off the injury list, finally.

Looks like we'll miss both Matera and Lynch for round 1 of the NAB Cup. I think those were our only real chances of winning any too. Sucks! Though gives Maysie a chance to show some stuff forward.
