October 1 – Commencement of Restricted Free Agency Offer and Unrestrictied Free Agency period.

October 3, 7pm – Club Best and Fairest, Crichton Medal at Crown Palladium.

October 5, 2pm – Nomination of Father-Son Eligble Players.

October 8, 10am – Father Son Eligble Players and Academy Players Bid Meeting.

October 8 – Commencement of AFL Trade Period

October 19, 5pm – Close of Restricted Free Agency Offer and Unrestricted Free Agency Period.

October 26, 2pm – End of AFL Trade Period.

November 22 – NAB AFL Draft, Gold Coast Convention Centre.

December 11, 11am – NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

December 11, 11.10am – NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

I wouldn’t mind Goddard but the price would certainly be too high. He’s overrated at the moment, has been average since 2010.

He’s certainly not worth the $700k a year we’d have to pay him.

It is arguably what Melbourne would be after. Lonergan is the other player on our list that would suit their side perfectly all tackle and nothing else philosophy perfectly.

Imagine if Gus could be part of a deal for Gysberts. I've always liked Gus but it would be too good trade to be annoyed at.

Would I be wrong to think that we get slightly dudded in a monfries for gysberts straight swap? maybe monfries for gysberts with one of our picks being upgraded? After all, we're trading our 4th most senior player for a bloke who's been stuck playing for casey all year.
