Actually losing your heads at the journos on twitter with the aim of getting blocked is really fun...Let's not lose our heads here. There's a lot of trolling happening from across the border. We don't need to react to every single comment about Dangerfield.
Let's just stay quietly confident in what we can offer him. As a club, we need to own the attitude that if he leaves, it's his loss.
This, more to the point.Or he now realises Gerlong are shit
Does seem like the club is handling it all in their stride. Seems like they know something we don't know.Everyones assuming there's pressure. Seems to me Danger and the club are handling it very professionally. Can't see any handwringing from where I'm standing.

for those of you think dangerfield is gone, what are your thoughts on Rance staying or leaving? In almost the exact same position as dangefield is
I'll gve you one guess as to why most vic journo's think dangerfield is leaving and why rance is staying
Mate your not a chief footy writer! You are not being asked to stake your reputation on it.
While on here on an anonymous forum for football lovers and fans. All I have said and I am saying is that if I look at the most recent cases of FA's,
FA's that are highly rated and not spuds, if there isn't much action by the said Free Agent than, they are going. Simple!!
And before anyone says Gibbs, at the very least everyone was aware he had recently bought a house in Melbourne(minority share in a Pub is not the same as a house), so it suggests some sort of commitment to at least staying in Melbourne rather then going to his most suited teams in SA.

not the articles/comments from the media I've seenThey think Rance is going
The boys on talking footy think he's gonenot the articles/comments from the media I've seen
LulzI had lunch with her and Tex the day after the North melbourne belting. Seems really nice.
They didn't actually see me because I was sitting about 12 tables away.
Does seem like they know what's going on, one way or the other.Does seem like the club is handling it all in their stride. Seems like they know something we don't know.
For any issue that crops up, it will take a bit of time for us supporters to get to the point where we can sit back and say, I'm not worried - they've got this
We're used to the club telling us all is well but then flicking on the news and hearing that we've needlessly sacked our recruiter, are losing key players, are getting pinged for draft breaches, have given out ridiculous contract extensions... lurching from one display of nincompoopery to another.
Haha.... Dont need you to patronize me mate. You see generally when you're trying to back up an opinion you use evidence that backs your point. You're just picking bits and pieces of information to suit your argument. It's called a confirmation bias.
Out of the players you listed the only gun that is Dangerfield standard is Franklin (Ablett wasn't a free agent). Now any player anyone suggests to disprove your ridiculous assertion you say they're taking the piss because they're not as good. Since when did the player need to be top 5 in the AFL to be included in the debate? the further you get into this debate the more ridiculous your claim becomes.
So hang on, if news came out tomorrow that Paddy has just bought a house in Adelaide, the year that his contract runs out, that wouldnt give a positive sign?Dangerfield does own a house in Adelaide but don't let the facts get in the way. The further you go the more you look like that cartoon character that runs off the cliff but his legs keep going.
fair enoughThe boys on talking footy think he's gone

GAJ might not have a free agent per se. But under the expansion provisions he could go to GC without Geelongs approval, that's pretty close to a free agent. (You know potato, patato)
Mate if he wasnt a top 5, no one would give as much of a shit! Thats the whole point he is a gun and a very valuable player! If Douglas left and we kept danger very few would give two sh***!

not sure if many of you have heard, not much there to talk about but a couple things patty said were mildly interesting
didn't ask him directly about his contract but danced around it by talking about geelong being on the bottom
I agree I think their circumstances are similar... That the success of Afc & rfc this year will be a major factor in their decision to stay or seek greener pastures.for those of you think dangerfield is gone, what are your thoughts on Rance staying or leaving? No my sample size is about right. Because Patrick Dangerfield is considered as a top 5 player in the game, by much better minds than mine! That's the whole gist* of it! if he was a run of the mill average midfielder, it wouldnt be such a big deal!So you're sample is cut to two players because it suits your argument but then you shaft yourself because the sample size isn't big enough.
Regardless of your bad statistical evidence it doesn't matter if he's top 5 or top 50. Unless someone is offering Dangerfield $2m/year, a $10m deal or some other disproportionate amount that he can't refuse then he's the same as every other free agent.
I don't think we are on the same page. Now it has to be the year of their contract! you're getting ridiculously silly now.
So we can't debate you with evidence (which has proven you wrong) unless the player is top 5 or they haven't bought a house in the year their contract runs out.
