I'd be willing to bet that if Aish makes his way into the beloved Royal Blue and White jumper that he'll give 100% effort. Even if Melksham was pick 25 and Tom Bell was 31 or something? Basti's a better footballer than those two, I think pick 21-30 range isn't an unrealistic asking price given those two trades this year.

Tom Bell the turnover merchant, and Jake Melksham the princess netted pick 21 and pick 25. Basti is considerably better than the two of them with considerably more upside. In fact Greenwood was better than those two peanuts as well.

Both those players were uncontracted as well. If we don't get something half reasonable for a contracted player who we have pumped 120 games into then we are continually going to get reemed at the trade table. We should have held out for longer last year with Greenwood, and we should hold until Brisbane offer us something better this year.

Is Aish a marquee player though? Did people watch him this season? All he's done so far is have a similar, admittedly very promising, first year to the season Mullett came 2nd or 3rd is the RS, and then had a similar drop off. Big question marks on his attitude to hard work...although Brisbane are happy they've got a bit of a bidding war, they're pretty happy to see the kid go, which is not a great sign imo.

By that logic we'd have pick 1. It wouldn't be magically weighted to equivalent of pick 61 because of whatever else we threw in.

He was mentioned periodically as he always is in trade conversations. Sick of it. One of those fast players that can kick and gets called "exactly" what we need but he doesn't know how to play, footballers win you flags not players like Rohan.
