Richmond's % gain from today has made a significant difference. If we win next week (causing GWS's % to drop) and Richmond beat St Kilda by a decent margin (which I expect), then we'll be up against Richmond at the G in the first final. The more we win by (if we win), the more likely that result becomes.
Fair enough - hadn't realised Richmond had picked up so much % against the hapless Fremantle.
Richmond at the 'G would be a great result for us.
Would rather play GWS at home with majority of our Crowd, at the G against Richmond for every fan we have there Richmond will have 3.
But GWS have the most talented list in the comp and Richmond..... is Richmond.
They are every chance to lose to the Saints still.Tigers only 1.6% behind Giants

Unless the AFL in their infinite wisdom decide to draw club names from a hat to create the match ups for week one of finals then there is no chance we will play Richmond.
If we lose and Richmond win then they'll probably finish in front of us due to percentage. In which case you would be playing Richmond. What? How do you figure that?
If we beat GWS and Richmond beat St Kilda, we finish 2nd and GWS 3rd (we host GWS in qualifying final).
If we lose to GWS and Richmond beat St Kilda, we finish 4th and play 1st (Adelaide or GWS) away in qualifying final.
If we lose to GWS and Richmond lose to St Kilda, we finish 3rd and play 2nd (GWS or Adelaide) away in the qualifying final, and Richmond miss the top 4 (Sydney or Port Adelaide make it instead).
Unless I'm missing something I can't see a single scenario in which we play Richmond in week one. It's either a home qualifying final v GWS or away to Crows/Giants.
No Kersto no Freo.Fair enough - hadn't realised Richmond had picked up so much % against the hapless Fremantle.

No Kersto no Freo.
Especially as Richmond seem to be always whining about having to play in Geelong. The way the AFL barracked for them and backed them in on the official website last week pretty much shows me that all the whining will get them a game at the 'G every time. Be prepared for feral, spitting, cursing and whinging crowds this September.Even a win won't ensure a home game now ... with Richmond smashing Freo, both us winning in the last round has seen the odds of a Geelong v Richmond Qualifying Final at the MCG firm as favourite.
It's amazing that If it pans out that way that we won't have 'earn't' the right to a 'home' final like every other team is afforded for being the highest ranked side.Especially as Richmond seem to be always whining about having to play in Geelong. That's right- Richmond could get a home final whether we win and finish above them or not. At present, the way things are currently being run and determined, the AFL sucks anyway. It's amazing that If it pans out that way that we won't have 'earn't' the right to a 'home' final like every other team is afforded for being the highest ranked side.

No.Remember when the Walker and Kersten combo was going to be the next Mooney and Nathan Ablett? Good times.
Especially coming back from a training session in Perth, saints will hit them hard.
