Wow, that is an incredible but of history. I could well understand the massive disappointment for losing this GF.learned that the crows are a tease. have the 4th best win/loss percentage over the past decade (behind superclubs hawthorn, sydney, geelong) but have nothing to show for. only team with sydney that have never lost to gold coast and have only lost to the giants once. nothing to show for. bookmark finishing 5th next year.
Don't forget Truck!Richmond have a lot of likeable lads ! Jack Riewoldt is a star , glad to see him win one.
Dusty , didn't deserve the Norm but f..k who cares , the whole mob just destroyed us .
Also , big fan of Dimma , Leppa and Balmey , the mix was right .
Well done Tigeys .

So, it's bad now, butLeaned:
GF Winner Last 5 Years:
Richmond
Western Bulldogs
Hawks
Hawks
Hawks
GF Runner Ups:
Adelaide
Sydney
West Coast
Sydney
Fremantle
The odds on that must be in the millions...
Ground Control... we have just lost cabin pressure... Huston... we have a problem.
Well said. I agree entirely although I do believe clubs should be lobbying the AFL too. But certainly the football dept need to be focussed on winning the flag.
Let me tell you a story about the 'e' in Hawthorn.
On the weekend I broke my Samsung and instead of upgrading I got the Huawei P9 that my work gave to me last year to promote. This phone is actually a lot better than many people think but one completely shitty feature is it's keyboard. It's awful and the only thing worse is it's predictive text.
Anyway, cool story bro moment I know but the moral of the story is you are right there is no e in Hawthorn. Unless you are Huawei.
Let it go FFS. This "Victorian conspiracy theory" is so bloody boring.Congrant on your brand new vfl premiership - how manys that now?
Interesting reading. So, it's bad now, but

10 in a 15 year period interstate, 7 against Vic opposition.
Honestly just think it's cyclical.Interesting reading.
From 92 - 06, interstate teams were winning premierships (10 of 15).
then...9 of the next 10 premierships were won by Victorian clubs..
.. holy cow. What happened between 06 and 07?
This pretty much sums up what sh*ts me about Tigers fans.Lols suck it up. That's what happens when you don't live in the city the sport originated. If there was a biggest bogan competition do you think anyone from Melbourne would complain if it was based in Perth? Of course not.
You're probably right. However, if Melbourne or St Kilda win it next year I'm making a tin foil hat and cutting clippings from the newspaper to make codes to pin up on my wall.Honestly just think it's cyclical.
I would have thought if it was an MCG/away struggle, that being a more professional sport than 20-30 years ago, it would be less of an issue. Especially with a reasonably split crowd on GF day compared to a H&A.
Actually the league - after public outcry HAS changed thingsLet it go FFS. This "Victorian conspiracy theory" is so bloody boring.
You choose to support a team in a competition with known rules. You don't think those rules suit your team. Change teams or stop supporting a league that doesn't fit your agenda. Accept the rules or FO. The Leagues not gonna change to suit you so suck it up princess.
32 to 3 actually.1 flag to 3. Yep you definitely have more than us you flog.
32 to 3 actually.
That's what happens when a club has history and isn't manufactured from dust.
Richmond at all levels has won 32 premierships, Melbourne 33, Carlton 34 and Essendon 35.
This is the AFL champ. Your 31 other flags are irrelevant.32 to 3 actually.

Yeah and I do agree with you to an extent. It's black and white that the team that wins the flag can claim to be best in the comp because that's the objective of the comp.
But it's also pretty clear that the best team across the season doesn't always peak on the last Saturday in September.
And that's the difference. Much like the Bulldogs in 2016, Richmond were the best team in September, albeit not the best team across the year.
And the umpiring in the first half. Richmond were the better team and deserved the win, no question.. but that umpiring was out of control in the first half.
Actually the league - after public outcry HAS changed things
When we had to play home finals in melbourne - after a few the public outcry in wa and sa was so loud that they changed it - despite the contract with the g demanding so many finals in melb. At first the vfl said it was impossible - which is almost always their first response. Then after prodding they found a compromise based on the fact that there is generally more finals played in melbourne than is required by the contract so they “banked” finals for years where there was less finals played there.
Theres been quite a few things changed after public outcry.
I can tell you something for certain - nothing changes if we dont speak up.
Get back in yer box dog

No one give two shiny shits about your 'flags' from 100+ years ago. You weren't alive to see them so they mean nothing to you (beyond you trying to use them in a tiny knob measuring contest), and especially not to us.
The real count in the AFL-era has you at 1. Enjoy it, but your 'history riddled' club has to triple that count to be even with WCE.

Lost to the dogs - lost to geelong.
You beat 5th 14th 15th 17th 18th away from the g
You lost to 1st 2nd 4th 10th 11th away from the g
Compare that to a real premiership side like the hawks and it looks really poor.
Compare it to how dominant interstate an interstate side has to be to win a granny and it looks like an 8th placed team
