To me, Harley didn't sound to positive around the chances of Newman getting a contract. It sounded like if we had a spare list spot after all our business there may be a chance. I don't know if I am reading to much into it though.

Delisted FA at best. North probably baulked because they knew he'd be delisted? My source definitely had him gone just prior to halfway through the season and I can't see that changing (haven't spoken to source since though).

Seems that way. The Fox Sports article reported several clubs are interested in Langdon, not just us.
