Stop being so biased, its like the Fonz saying sorry when you have to say Mackay is playing well

Mackay is ranked in the top 10 wingers in the league ATM based on his form, give him credit when credit is due

Take the blinkers off
You didnt actually answer the questions, who was better on the weekend and who has had the better year, Mackay or Atkins?

So you’re not disagreeing then that Murphy and Mackay play different roles so not sure why you brought him up, Murphy ain’t playing wing and Mackay ain’t playing small forward.

By the way I never said Mackay hasn’t been good, not sure where you got that from.

I think Mackay was outstanding so maybe both need to be in, Mackays opening goal and inturn Adelaides opening goal was fantastic

You do realise where Mackay is ranked in the whole AFL don't you? Can we see Atkins rating

Oh Marty, sometimes you make it so easy.

First off, by your silence you've conceded that Murphy and Atkins aren't competing for the same position
Secondly, by your silence you've conceded that I haven't bagged Mackay like you suggested

Now on to Mackay's outstanding game, I thought he was very good, outstanding? No. Didn't make our best players, didn't make the AFL team of the week and failed to receive coaches vote.

As for the weekend, Atkins had more possessions, a whopping 627 metres gained compared to 407 and higher disposal efficiency. He must have super outstanding in your eyes.

As for the player rankings, perhaps you can share your info.

Its interesting, we have won the past 7 games head to head v Lions, which includes winning our last 3 games at the GABBA.

We last lost to them by 10pts under Sando in 2012 at the GABBA.
Ah, I think that was the famous 'it's too hot up here to play footy' game. That was the final straw when we realised that Sando had to go.

Will be pressure on spots in the next few weeks with Seed & Dougy coming back in. Gooch probably has a week or 2 to prove he provides more than dougy. Seed will be an interesting one. He should play next week if he is ready. very damaging player.

Who is Gibbs coming in for by the way?

And Milera

Usually when the squeeze is on and some hard selection decisions need to be made we pick up a few more niggles to save us

No, that was in 2014. Otten tore his ACL for the second time in that game.

I cant respond you talk of replacement for replacement Im asking who is gibbs replacing, who did Gooch replace
You can’t respond, I figured that.

Okay, on to Gibbs, the only possibility is Gooch. That would mean Gibbs plays half forward mid instead of defence where he played his last game.

Personally I’m not adverse to him playing sanfl until he can show some real form and get some continuity of games.

Seeds will likely play one SANFL game, so who he replaces will be interesting as he’s our best winger when fit.

Do you want a bet on injuries this week, and Seeds will replace that person, unless its ROB of course, we have enough KPP's in the team to cover one injury

It doesn't need to be like for like as you have this thing about

If they drop Harto Keath can play his position, keath is playing the floating back role where he isn't accountable Gibbs, Milera, Mackay Greenwood CEY could play that role quite easily

ROB is pretty much the only position that needs a specialist, If tex or EH went down maybe JJ would need to come back but that's about the only 3 injures that would cause an equivelant player to come in

You don't need to play like for like as so many players can play various positions

Mackay is a classic he can play any running role Forwrad back Mid and has a standard which is AFL standard

You have this thing about like for like, but you don't realise if you can play footy you generally can play elsewhere, some have an ability to play as good anywhere like say D Jarman could play FF,MID, HF, HB

You really haven't played much footy have you

That's a new one, you want to bet on injuries.

As I have pointed out many times and evidenced many times, even ex-AFL players have s**t opinions so Cornsey, my playing experience doesn't come into it.

The preferred option of any team is not to have to shuffle your side around. They have set structures they like to work with. So if there is a choice between two players of similar ability, they will bring in the like for like.

None of this matters at all if there aren't any injuries, which you cant bank on. So who comes out for Seeds? Or do you think we keep him in the sanfl until there is an injury? What about Milera when he is fit?

The preffered option is to use as limited players as possible like in 2017 when we used 31, that goes out the window on this board

Like Kane Mcgoodwin pointed out we are third on the ladder with the players we have used and lets be honest Jones didn't add a lot when he played

History tells us the less players any club uses the better in relation to finish on the ladder

Richmond used a low number also in 2017 from memory

where does Alex Keath and Sauce Jacobs rate?
Jacob is 79 (412 pionts), Keath is 401(166 points), ROB is 538 (61 pionts. )
They use champion data which uses the last 40 games. So both Keath and ROB have not played 40 games it hard to get an Accurate reading on them.
For more info on the rating system

Note Both MacKay and Atkins are well pasted 40 games.
And the funny quirk is Jacobs actually increase his rating this week.

How can this be ? Isn’t Mackay high in AFL ratings ?
Marty stated he was top 10 in wingman. I want to see that list he spruked
Atkins (347 pionts) is the 64th highest rated Mid and MacKay (286 pionts) is the 81st.
He number 9 in the Crows with CEY(232 pionts) catching up very quickly with 6 games worth of points to add, no loses he played only 34 games.
Once CEY overtakes him he will be the last placed midfielder with points.
