Strategy Mid-season draft 2019 / Supplemental Selection Period

our Key forwards are 27yrs + (except Marshall) so now is the time to get a young KPF (and a 2nd KPD / KPF) player

last year we got
KPD - Grundy to go with Howard & Clurey - (and maybe Burton)
SF - Rozee Woodcock & Cox
Mid - Butters, Duursma & Pudney
SD - Fredrick

previously we got
Rucks - Hayes and Ladhams (Ladhams who is now coming on nicely)

over the next couple of years we are going to get a bunch of Midfielders - Mead, Schofield, Burgoyne's etc

so the glaring hole now 196cm+ KPF some one who can grow as a forward in the team (with the players listed above).

If we were smart we should have put Watts on the long term injury list and then we should have got 2 new players one a KPF (and one a KPF / KPD) . Have Marshall & the 2 new KPF learn the craft with Port Magpies, keep them on the list and once our older Key Forward retire they would be ready to play. if the older key forwards are out for a while they could get a few games under their belt.

Also having another 196cm + KPF / KPD would give us flexibility to interchange Howard if he is getting beaten in Defence
