Then how would you consider a review would be done by an accountants firm
If Rucci is right and KPMG do the review
the discussion with accountancy firms was brought up because of Richmonds use of them,
but hey, you think they were wrong in using one
Ruuci has rumoured we are
How will they do a review? How any accountancy firm will do one, Ive used Jennifer Ma before so I know how she operates,
but Im sure you know Con if your position is as you say
Of course you can believe it.
Not E&Y or Deloitte, but I actually had a lot of respect / like for the partners of the firm I worked at. Good blokes, just running a business, good operators and very down to earth. I don't know what it was like on the accounting side, but us consultants were not "rich dumb kids".Both E&Y and Deloitte are (or at least were, when I worked there back in the late 90s/early 00s) very much a 'boys club' (much like the AFC) which made me chuckle when I read they were being considered for the external review. A lot of dumb rich kids that I went to uni with ended up there because daddy knew someone that was a partner and these dickheads were very much of the 'Ps get degrees'-level of dumbarses (some are probably partners there now)
Im sorry to say this JJ will never attract a 2nd regardless if we pay his whole salary, fourth rounder for an SANFL player
You can also include me there tooTo be fair , some here and I was the biggest cheerleader, thought it was an anomaly and that with Saunders in that it would be a top 4 finish.
Then Douglas got selected for a JLT match. Then Hawks at home.

With Deloitte it may have depended on which area/country you Consulted for, The US was a different fish to the one in Australia.I never worked as an auditor (just a general financial/management accountant) but a top 4 firm would do a pretty good job - they would have management accountants on the team for the audit but most of it would be I imagine conducted by an audit & assurance team with a couple of management consultants/business analysts thrown in.

Spoke to Con haven't really had any dealings but Jennifer did a project for me is really nice and crosses every T and dots every I
Ah stuff it, I'll have one more go.
Well I suppose so - Richmond used E&Y, so it's legitimate to wonder if we shouldn't do the same, or maybe another firm... but...
They are NOT "accountancy firms" in this context. They are not going unleash a horde of financial auditors on us to do the job. They (E&Y, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte) do other things too.
But you keep calling them "accountancy firms" and you frame all your comments on what a review might entail from the perspective of an accounting audit.
WTF? Please quote me where I said that. For that matter, please quote anyone on this board who has said that.
Rucci has rumoured we are going to use a particular firm (KPMG) out of the many we could choose from. So what. That has nothing to do with the question of whether you understand what these firms do in such a review.
So, you have used an accountancy firm, to do accountancy type work / audit / review, and so that's what you think an organisational (/cultural) review of a football club by the specialist consulting arm of a major accounting firm will look like. OK.
Never heard of him. But I am not, and never have been, an accountant. My position "as I say" was, at one time, as a consultant in one of the big 4 firms. On the management consulting side. Never touched a balance sheet in my life.
Which, my friend, makes my (relatively limited) experience a heck of a lot more relevant than yours.
- Although that said, you don't even have to have my level of experience to understand this. There are quite a few people on this board who understand the nature of such a review and the firm that might conduct it, and they've probably never set foot inside one of those firms. It's not rocket science to understand this.
I'd say "I'm out" again but you'll probably come up with another post I won't be able to resist playing with
I can 100 percent guarantee that any review done by KPMG will have Chapman looking like a God.Spoke to Con haven't really had any dealings but Jennifer did a project for me is really nice and crosses every T and dots every I
Mumford sucks and Simpson is retiring, leaving them with Briggs and Flynn who arent ready just yet.Why would GWS want Jacobs

My favourite part of Big Footy is your banter with EliteCrow on the politics board - I wonder if you ever consulted him in person and didn't know who the other person was.
Why would GWS want Jacobs
Clubs will offer him 2 years, it'll be up to him if he wants to move.
If.we put him on 200K for a year as purely insurance then that's fine.
They don't need a long-term option, they've got Briggs developing and Matthew Flynn, but he did his ACL last month so probably won't be 100% until 2021. Jacobs is that bridge to carry 2020 and then they'll hope one of the others will be good to go for 2021.Because he's free and (arguably) in the realm of competence.
You'd have to think the 2nd year would be a coaching type set up, but there would be a couple out there while youngster developI highly doubt that Sauce is being offered a 2 year deal by an AFL club.
I thought the same of EY but they're being lauded for the job they did at Richmond.I can 100 percent guarantee that any review done by KPMG will have Chapman looking like a God.
These accounting firms actual appropriateness for this review is laughable.
There are elements of strategic alignment, leadership and behaviour specifically in a football context that must be addressed.
KPMG will do some quick research about what other clubs are doing, they plot where the AFC sit on some quadrant and the strategic plan will be about moving the AFC into that top right. Waste of f#$&+ng money.
The AFC must be seriously challenged in this review and made to feel uncomfortable. I'd put a team together with a elite level football administrator, an elite football brain, a beahvioural and leadership specialist like "Leading Teams" or even better Graham Winter from Think One Team who used to also be the Australian Olympic Team head psychologist.
That sort of approach would be infinitely better than KPMG at a fraction of the cost.
He isn't. He is angling for a 1 year deal with us. May get a 1 year deal elsewhere but likely doesnt want to up root for that. Would tell him to look elsewhere for a continuation of his career.I highly doubt that Sauce is being offered a 2 year deal by an AFL club.
Every possibility ....Ruckmen play longer than othr players ....Sandilands retired this year at 36 yoI highly doubt that Sauce is being offered a 2 year deal by an AFL club.
