Wot in the special Olympics, there isn't a full season between them
Exactly. I'm not willing to give up McCartin for him.It was simple.
Essendon wanted a player.
What one of the 12 best swans were this board prepared to give up ? plus a high draft pick...
He is a pro sportsman.
He will perform.
He is here fro 4 more years and not just 1 if he doesn't![]()
IMO the best way to a premiership is to draft the best youth possible and then to trade in order to fill any gaps. We are perfectly placed to do this, but not this year. In another year we will have this years pick 5, Gulden, Campbell, possibly a pick before them and possibly Daniher. We will be in a very good position. My only concern will be whether we have developed a dedicated inside mid to work with Rowbottom and another mid with breakaway speed and ball carrying ability.Geelong and Hawthorn got golden crops, West Coast and Richmond traded for established players as well to form their premiership-winning core
Carlton, Melbourne, St Kilda, Brisbane, Gold Coast, even Richmond prior to 17 had many busted drafts that had led them nowhere
Not saying that premiership teams can't be built through accumulating high picks in the draft but it requires that the kids actually develop into stars and the club doesn't face retention problems. It's a lottery and not really any more a reliable method of building a successful list than trading for established talent imo.
Its different when your recruiting superstarsSwans fans: We always get shafted in trades.
Sydney decline two deals to avoid getting shafted.
Swans fans: *outrage*
I don't get it.
I imagine things are pretty awkward right now for Daniher and Papley.
Harley weak as piss couldn’t even front the media.
He’s a joke.
im saying buddy and daniher are two of the best forwards
and that makes us way better yes
Even that is MASSIVE overs for such an injury prone playerso Gardiner confirmed that 5+9 not enough for dodo anyways as we thought. Get f’ed if you think we should give them anymore.
is not trading a player who wants out as close to winning as a final as essendon have been for 15 years?
party hard i guess
I think the Vic media were hoping we were going to screw ourselves over by paying too much for Daniher.Vic media seems so angry we didn't rate Daniher enough.
The same Vic media always bagging Daniher and contributing to the Melbourne bubble he wanted out of![]()
so Gardiner confirmed that 5+9 not enough for dodo anyways as we thought. Get f’ed if you think we should give them anymore.
