Every recent high draftee has re-signed for extra years, this is a club on the move up. A decade of southern clubs picking off their talent cheap has ended, AFL did the right thing in their assistance package.Only people crying are the young men who have just had their careers ruined by being drafted to the Suns. They'll be desperate to get out of there before the rot sets in.
Come on down North err, err, err MelbourneMmmmnup, HQ are hell bent on "growing" support for Aus footy in RL heartland - this is a long long long haul that may never come off.
What is certain to be on the nose of the Tas locals is a relocated club "representing". Go to any Tas thread, the thoughts of a relocated club has a sour taste.
Spot on...rocking the clubs devotion to gaining the long lost loves of good players...
head on shoulders and not gonna punk the system...
shambolic and diabolical... run Smitty run...
If it gives Tas their license, and they get to build a new club from scratch, they shouldn't have a problem with it..Shh! Don't tell the Tas locals it's a reloc. "Suns dismantled, new Tas team"

to be fair. Where GWS traded out, their excess of first rounders. Initially the Suns delisted. I wouldn’t say that the players that have been traded out from either expansion team has been cheap. In certain cases I’d say that some of the trades has been overs for the southern clubs. The ones that have been cheap, have been because of cap pressure, injuries or players that they were going to delist anyway.
The AFL did the wrong thing in giving them these concessions. Where the AFL wants clubs to be accountable, the Suns have been allowed to make themselves a victim of their own stupidity and get rewarded for it. The decision lacks transparency and as a consequence the integrity of the entire draft is compromised because of it, as the other clubs become affected by it.
Nonsense. The decision was made by the AFL Commission - it is very transparent. It is the whole reason those kind of decisions need to be made by the Commission (i.e not the administration)
The greater degree of the concessions is necessary because the Gold Coast are an establishing expansion club. Next season is still only their tenth season.
Far more likely that you're clueless when it comes to North, so best not to comment.Far more likely north will end up down there then the Gold Coast.
In fact I would say
PR north relocating / making way = reasonable chance
PR gold coast relocating / making way = next to no chance
Far more likely that you're clueless when it comes to North, so best not to comment.
