You realise that the army won't actually be fighting the fires, right? 3000 troops seems like overkill for the actual purposes of their deployment. Have to keep the bloodthisty mob at bay though.
(Quiet Australians + Bushfires) x Scott Morrison = bloodthirsty mob

Put it on a T-Shirt :thumbsu:

Just caught those tweets, seriously, this filth just needs to fu** off back to whatever s**t heap he came from and rot.

Preferably 9000km to the east in the Pacific Ocean.
What’s South America done to deserve that?

Have you been out to see it all for yourself to know?

According to a statement in the Labor parties announcement for a national firefighting fleet, the coalition have reduced their share of funding for the National Aerial Firefighting Centre to 23%. The centre is jointly funded by the federal government and the states and territories, the previous funding split was 50/50 federal and states.

In regards to not meeting the chiefs....the National Aerial Firefighting asked the federal government in 2016 for extra funding for more aircraft due to their concerns of the “longer, hotter and drier fire seasons to come”.....they were declined.

So you can be myopic and focus only on the ex- “greenie” fire chiefs or you could realise that the message the fire chiefs has tried to deliver is the exact same message that the National Aerial Firefighting Centre delivered in 2016.
It seems current experts and managers opinions count as much “greenie” fire chiefs.

Both have been ignored.

This is going to get seriously ugly for the government. Shame an election is so far away

And not a single word about climate policy because unless that radically changes this is all just delaying the inevitable.

The war on climate change has always been about delaying

Bullshit long enough in order to make more money, until it finally happens and they just throw their hands up in the air and claim nothing could've been done

If this doesn’t politicise it then nothing does..making a ******* advert, are you serious?

Thats not a Liberal part advert. The PM is rightfully communicating the Australian govts responce to the fires in the face of idiodic claims its doing nothing. Van Onselen has been a disgrace for many years. Unbelievable that any university would allow him to teach political science.

It says at the end it is a Liberal Party advert.

I think most people would prefer they just get on and do it.

Not sure “but Labor” will cut it this time. But I’m sure you’ll try
