I'd like to see Rhyce tear the umpires a new one after tonight, that was a deplorable game to watch no matter who you barrack for.

The game is f’ed, and you can thank the 'Master campaigner' Clarkson for that.

He'd get fined if he did. The AFL needs to go public with which coaches will get fined for questioning the umpiring and which one will get the umpiring changed to suit his side. It's a f...ing joke the influence that one coach has.

This assessment about half arsenessess is true of a significant number of the players - and not just tonight.

Taylor, Mahoney, Dumont, Goldy, LMac, Taz, Walker, TT, Hayden and Jy are the few who played to an acceptable standard.

It’s just so hard to see how blokes like Higgins, Brown, Zurhaar, Williams, JMac, Jed, Polec, Hall, Xerri, Ats, Pittard could all have made such a poor contribution - a few actually did nothing positive at all tonight. Yet every one is capable and more than half are expected to be top line players in a team most of us thought were showing Signs that they could be finalists.

Surely something is wrong. We had hopes for this team but the form they are showing has pretty much dashed that entirely.

Cunnington - why would he make himself available, and why would the team pick him when he is carrying whatever it is he’s got.

I think we get the rough end of the pineapple most weeks but that isn’t the explanation for losses like tonight.

Been saying it for ages. We NEED to get down the pointy end of the draft somehow. Through trading out players or playing the kids and the losses come with playing the kids. If a club offered 2 first for brown pack his bags. 3 first rounders this year and 2 next year. We only got Simpkin at 12 because he missed the second year of tac footy, melbourne would have taken him at 1 if they had the pick. Tt was gifted with out tassy Academy and ldu at actually picked 4. He's not even in the team atm and he will already be a point of difference in our midfield as soon as he's palying. No more middle of the road finishes with no finals and crap draft hands. Get a industrial hard bristle broom and sweep the joint out and not try to plug holes with trades.

You can't win in the modern AFL with Marley, Atley, Pittard and JMac setting us up from HB.

We need composed and creative ball use back there. We need players to hit targets. This and quick small forwards should be our priority.

After that, the midfield, key position players and a ruckman

A very dirty night but we aren’t this bad. Something is awry structurally and psychologically. It can turn.

For the moment, however, our midfield is well out of whack. Our forward entries suck. Our aerial game is rubbish and we are moving it atrociously off half back. Also have crucial players injured or out of form.

no the AFL will NEVER let us have a priority pick anyway we will enough games to not get 1 .

Xerri is going to take time and no Larkey means no CHF or, when Brown has to push up, no full forward.

Losses are never as bad as they seem. But this is a bad loss. Move on the likes of Hall, Jmac, Atley over the next year.
