This is absolutely disgusting from the SANFL, but not surprising.
no point going to the AFL, Gillon would probably laugh at it and shrug his shoulders.
A bit of push and shove during a ball up results in a fine but an elbow to the head is ok.

Just saw it on 7 plus and it was a tad late, got him high and as mentioned the player went out of the game.
Not the intended outcome but a fair ruling nowadays.
Pity as we need to see him playing AFL.

Actually I've just seen the footage of the Dermie discussing Clark hit. He chased a player down in order to elbow them. How he managed to escape a suspension for that...

The Rozee dangerous tackle thing is just classic AFL responsibility shuffling. From memory it was right at the start of the game and Parish looked a bit dazed afterwards.

'Follow the rules, but if you do and a player gets a head injury, that's on you.' It's penalising results instead of treating causation.

One day someone's going to take mark of the week while giving the player in front a concussion and the AFL won't know what to do. They'll probably bring out the old 'if you choose to take a mark and the player gets concussed you'll get banned'.

What was the Rozee dangerous tackle?
The one where he knocked the opposition player out and they were pinged for holding the ball as they failed to correctly dispose of the ball while unconcious.

Oh wait, that was the non-dangerous tackle on Houston the other week. Well whatever Rozee did it must have been worse than that.

Maybe one day when a Port player does it they'll go the ban.

Brad Ebert missed six weeks of footy from concussion after Jordan Roughead kneed him in the back of the head while taking a mark.

Ah touché, i didn't know that was from a marking contest.

I think it'd have to be pretty dramatic. Like knocked out cold with the marker lining up for goal dramatic.

just watched the robbie incident on the afl website fk me they call robbie a flopper fantasia is just as bad there was absolutely nothing in that at all and it cost him 2 grand

Nah, pushing Marshalls head into the turf was just a lark.

We should do that to 22 Carlton players this week, precedent has been set.

so stupid. Careless contact. Would love to throw a machete at Christian and when he gets hurt tell him he had longer to react and get out of the way than Ebert did.

such a stupid system that punishes people for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Only way ebert was escaping contact there would have been teleporting.
