Please be a hang over, please be a hang over.

well considering their fans have already bought tickets for september lets hope so:D

on topic I can't see the big name lads getting a full tgame, I would imagine it would be another Griffen trial run and probably more of a K Tippet Trial run.

You would also assume that the likes of Vince, Pfieffer (sp?) and co will get more game time

I reckon our last trial game before season starts will be the one that you see more of the structure take place

Rumour has it over here that WC will be bringing in the big guns (Cox, Judd, Cousins, Embley, Kerr etc) this week

They want them to get some game time together and work on some plays from centre bounces and such

Should be a good hit out in that case

I hope its a Grand Final preview;) but as to who wins, Id be happy to NOT win just so the monkey grows leading up to the Granny.....thats of course if the West Coast actually make it

..pulls tounge out of cheek

Alice Springs, eww. Play the game and evacuate ASAP. Its a ****hole

Like to see both Jimmy and Kurt given another game, I'll say we'll win easily, but other than individual form you can't really read to much into it.

The West Coast Eagles expect to have captain Chris Judd available for his first game of the season when the Eagles tackle Adelaide in a practice match in Alice Springs on Friday.
Judd had shoulder surgery after his club's Grand Final victory over Sydney.
Gun onballer Daniel Kerr (thigh) is also expected to line up against the Crows as well as Andrew Embley (shoulder).
Eagles football manager Steve Woodhouse said yesterday the trio had to get through today's training session but were expected to play.

Graham Johncock will play his first game of the pre-season in Alice Springs on Friday night.

Tyson Edwards has also been recalled to a 28-man Crows squad, which will be reduced to 26 for the game against West Coast at Traeger Park.

Johncock has recovered from a sore back and completed full training on Tuesday night. Edwards and Johncock replaced James Sellar and David Mackay in the 28 from last Saturday’s trial against Melbourne at Mt Gambier.

The squad is: Massie, Tippett, Thompson, Griffin, van Berlo, Bassett, Edwards, Bode, Doughty, Shirley, Hudson, Torney, Welsh, Johncock, Pfeiffer, Knights, McLeod, Burton, Rutten, Douglas, Stevens, Vince, Reilly, Goodwin, Mattner, Archard, McIntyre, Bock.

As all the others are vying for a spot in the opening round, you'd have to think that the 2 rookies will miss out, unless one of the regulars is forced to miss or rest for some reason or other.

Tippett needs to be played after his promising efforts in the last quarter last week, as injury may yet dictate that he he may have to fill in at some stage or other this year.

Agreed. It's great to play the kids, but the guys with a realistic shot at round 1 should be in the mix from now on. :thumbsu:

McIntyre may be insurance for Johncock if he doesnt come up

Graham Johncock will play his first game of the pre-season in Alice Springs on Friday night.

So I was hallucinating when I thought I was watching him run around for the Aboriginal All-Stars, against the Bombers, in Darwin?

Might be his first game for the AFC this pre-season, but his first game of the pre-season it is not.

Channel 10 news said last night that our final trial game is on the Friday the 16th of March against Fremantle at AAMI.

So hopefully we can put a 95% full strength team on the park ready for round 1 the following fortnight.

Sellar over rated. I would think he'll be delisted at the end of the year. i watched him last week in the trial and i know e only had about 20 mins of ame time but i thought he was out of his depth and craigy obviously believes so....

hahahaha................wait thats not funny at all....its just stupid

The kid is only 17 XD

Of course he's going to look out of his depth. The did isn't fully grown, was far younger and less experienced than the guy he was playing on, and hasn't yet got that AFL-level physicality and fitness (isn't helped by his previous involvement in volleyball). The fact that he kicked a goal is testament to his ability. Watch out for him next year.

IMO the rest of your post is great, but this theory is a load of ****.

srsly, does playing volleyball make you more unfit than other players of the same age??? whilst it doesnt really make him a fitter person, it certainly doesnt make him unfit.

The 'Volleyball' theory has been exadurated a tad.

However while having national Volleyball commitments, it made it alot harder for him to build up a good fitness base.

If we are talking fitness in terms of aerobic capacity, I think people would be surprised just how fit one needs to be to play volleyball at a high level. A lot more to it than meets the eye.

While it will be a good hitout, I reckon we'll be keen to win. They know how to beat us but we haven't worked out how to beat them and this will be one of the big challenges for us this year. No time like the present to work out how.
