Try to look at it from another angle, Adzy most likely can't see his wife and kid the day before his 1st or 2nd father's day while being in the same city as them due to WA's strict quarantine rules.
Now im not a father but i recon this potentally could upset a few father's around the land if they had to go through this. These dudes aren't robots, they are people with feelings.

Whatever. Then tell Bevo you can't play and take some mental health leave. I don't care. If you take the field then you leave the sob story at home.

Also, try telling this excuse to Clay Smith. His best mate died in the week leading up to a prelim. You didn't see him sulking around the field.

I watched a fair bit of Adam Treloar last night off the ball. He set new records in finger-pointing. His finger-pointing resembled the halcyon days of Shaun Higgins circa 2014. Adz needs to snap out of the sulks.

Did anyone else notice the Bont go to grab the back of his knee before he went down? Maybe a knock to the back of the knee and then hitting the deck probably not helping either added to the pain. Seemed to be a knock type injury rather than structural.

Met some ripping doggies fans after the game at a nearby pub. There are so many ex-Melbournians living up here now. These doggies were real doggies, not plastic doggies. Ex residents of Maribynong and Keillor. Doggies that travelled to Spotless in 2016 - National Heroes

It was a disappointing game from Treloar and I was prepared to entertain the idea that he's getting games into his legs.

But finger pointing at levels that surpass the long standing and seemingly unattainable record of Higgins....? Tear up his contract and **** 'm off!

Just had a browse of the Port board to get a sense of the vibe. They are absolutely shitting themselves over the idea of having to play us. It's pretty funny. They've got a fully healthy list with two weeks rest and a home ground advantage and they are terrified of the mighty Dogs coming to ruin their party.

Never seen so many rattled port fans only focus being on umpiring lol.

Treloar will bounce back with a bit of faith from his teammates and supporters.

It’s all too easy to pick on the new kid at times.
And if he doesn't bounce back? It costs us a prelim final.

It's not about picking on him, it's about performance. There were at least 10 moments in the game last night where he could've had an effect on the play, simply with effort, and chose not to.

If he's being seriously effected by mental health issues, you treat it as you would any major injury that means you can't compete at the top level. And that means you don't play.

If someone consistently couldn't/wouldn't compete in contests because of a shoulder, calf or hip issue, the natural call is to not play them because doing so means you're effectively playing a man down. It should be no different if it's a mental health problem that effects performance that significantly.

My wish is for Wallis to be medi sub and JJ to play. Who comes out I do not know.

I think Bevo might take a bit of time to sit down with Adz and have a quiet chat. I wonder if the club psych is with the group, she could be needed.

Also thinking Bevo will be VERY cagey this week about the possible team makeup.

Needs to be played in position. He isn’t a forward.

lets be guided by what the selectors do then shall we?

As much as we try to find an argument for Weightman to play, I reckon it's almost certain he doesn't.

I think that Bont will play as well, but will be less than the 90% he is running around at the moment (thing his shoulder is worse than we assume). I expect Bont to be pushed forward, and play Weightman's role, because, like Weightman, he is a threat in the air and on the ground. Will be a tough match up too.

Without bont's defensive gut running and defensive help in the middle, i think that whoever comes into the team will be an endurance beast and asked to run all night. I suspect Anthony Scott might be the in. I am not sure JJ can give us that run.

I also don't think that there will be any ruck change, it will be lewy young with the first crack in the middle, and for Tim English to switch in if he is not competitive. As I've said in other posts, if lewy Young is getting beaten, and English needs to take over the first ruck role, there is really no other position in the team for him to play, and he sits on the bench and spells English when he needs it. I am also not bashing the kid either, and I see him as an excellent defensive interceptor, and he would make an excellent 3rd tall in our backline (when wood is not there). He is just not a ruckman - well not yet anyway.

My changes:
Out: weightman
In: Scott
Medi sub: JJ

bevo said in the pressor it was a knock to the back of the knee

Bev: “Hitouts are overrated”

Lewis Young “I’m glad you agree with my philosophy boss.”

Wallis in if Cody doesn’t play. Need big bodies against Port, and someone with forward craft that can kick multiple goals. That ruck set up is not ideal but it’s what we’ll have to roll with as Sweet and Martin are no chance.

Just passing on what someone connected to the club told me.

I’m sure Zeno The Great will clarify at some stage today.
Havent heard on cody, but I'm told the club is expecting bont to be OK. Fingers crossed scans come back all good
