What a win with all those outs. Didn't expect that at all. The best part for me was some of young guys got given more of a chance in bigger roles and did well.

Ralphsmith could potentially be our Houli replacement. Brilliant run and decision making today.

Ross and Dow made good decisions and went in hard. Shame Dow got injured. Hopefully RCD and Sonsie get a similar chance at some point in the midfield.

Gibcus better than last week and will be better again next week...will be a gun.

Miller was solid and while I'm not convinced on him as a best 22 key post I do know already he is a good depth player at worst.

Balta is already a star. He looks our most damaging forward with his blend of booming kicking and athleticism that no defender can match up on. Didn't see that coming either.

Keep funneling through the kids. If the wins come and we play finals then all the better. If not it sets us up going forward.

Great effort and great win by the boys today.
Just managed to get into the game after the bounce racing to the G after my boys first junior practice match for this season.
I know a lot of junior footy praccy matches started up today, but I was genuinely shocked to see how small the crowd was today. Was expecting at least 40K to our first home game... I hope that members hadn't thrown the baby out with the bathwater after last week and given the outs for this week... was hoping for a much more determined effort today and that's what we got.

balta's involvement on the wings was great. even when he didn't mark it, he was flying in from way back and spoiling it at least stopping the oppos from taking an easy mark around halfway. eveery time i thought gws were gonna take a mark he'd just come in outta nowhere

ralphsmith and mioli were great, but if they tidy their disposal up even a bit we probably win that by another 3 goals. not saying they were bad they were both great with some houli-esque linebreaking up the middle but few goals definitely went begging off their kicks

pickett's reading of the play is top tier, just floats around and gets some great half forward intercepts. and like vb_longneck said he injures campaigners but you rarely see him yelling at the umps/oppos or doing anything stupid so gets away with it

nank is a treat. you could see some GWS mids shit emselves at the centre bounces when he lined them up. also had a laugh when he took a mark and just decided to elbow another GWS player running by. bloke is an angry campaigner and i love that hes captain

Is it me or anyone else notice kmac geting better with disposal lately

He has started balancing himself properly before he kicks, he used to rush his kicks alot and kick when he was off balance

Prime example was on the wing early on when he was under pressure but he steaded, kicked it while absorbing a hit and hit the target perfectly down the line
