I'm kind of into it. Be interesting if we go into the night having zero idea of what will happen. The general consensus seems to be that we're in a unique position for where we've been over the last decade. We're not pressing for anything urgently, therefore, it is highly likely that we go for best player available regardless of position.
We could do with extra key position types but we can also do with more run and carry on the outside or a combination midfielder might be the go.
Hayes or Busslinger for a tall Or maybe a Hewett or a Hollands for a mid. Maybe we'll be lucky enough in a slider Will drop to us and then there's always a possibility that we trade down for the multiple selections.
Not nearly as open and closed as it has been
Ta Wic, yeah I get the vibe that the “best” player will be taken at 10, makes for interesting draft night viewingThe general consensus seems to be that we're in a unique position for where we've been over the last decade. Who would you take JAB, assuming we use pick 10?Ashcroft is the Walsh of this year's draft - the rest are a nice bunch of high school footballers.
If he gets past Geelong there’s every chance he makes it to our pick.If Tsatas slid past Geelong I'd be trading up to get him no doubt about it.
For mine - it all depends on who is available and who isn't - would be equally happy with any of the players and equally not expecting much if any impact in year one or two. You are making a call on future body development and coping with the real world of no space or time and no superior running ability compared to developed AFL players.Who would you take JAB, assuming we use pick 10?
Trading down I assume. 10 for 15 and 31? But not sure why Giant would do that unless they had a specific target at 20.![]()
Trades haven’t stopped: The AFL clubs tipped to feature heavily in crucial draft pick swap period

Foxfooty.com.au understands the Blues have already reached out to the GWS Giants and inquired about a possible trade. The Giants – on top of Pick 1 – also hold Picks 15, 18, 19 and 31 in this year’s draft, with that suite of selections piquing Carlton’s interest.
Reckon a lot of possible options will be gone by Pick 15, which could be 17-18 after FS and academy pics.![]()

it may be potentially trading future picks for these picks.Trading down I assume. 10 for 15 and 31? But not sure why Giant would do that unless they had a specific target at 20.
yep or gaining additional picks for next year.it may be potentially trading future picks for these picks.
It’s a really interesting one because if it is 10 for 15 plus 31 then for me it’s pretty risky as I think there are 13 non aligned players I’d be happy with at 10 so it’s probably gives us about a 50% chance to get someone who I atleast really rate.![]()

I guess on the night if someone they love really slides they would.Would we consider a direct swap of our future 1st for 15?
Still seems a bit too much given the lack of quality in this draft, but maybe we’ve got our eye on someone like Konstanty.
31 doesn’t get you a 5 spot upgrade in the 1st roundIt’s a really interesting one because if it is 10 for 15 plus 31

Problem is by slipping down it is very possible some of your targets may be gone, l believe Allan will go by pick 12 and would not be surprised if Hotton is gone by 15, potentially a club may also gamble on George earlier than 20.It’s a really interesting one because if it is 10 for 15 plus 31 then for me it’s pretty risky as I think there are 13 non aligned players I’d be happy with at 10 so it’s probably gives us about a 50% chance to get someone who I atleast really rate.
Personally I’d love 18 and 19 and try and get two of Konstanty, Hotton, Allan, George, Burgiel or Cowan.
I wouldn’t think so but if we are really keen on someone like Konstanty, Hotton or Allan for example then we might think we are getting the player we want plus an extra pick.31 doesn’t get you a 5 spot upgrade in the 1st round
I have a top 13 who I really rate plus these six who I really like so we are guaranteed to get two of them. It totally comes down to how you rate them though but for me there are 19 guys I’d love to haveProblem is by slipping down it is very possible some of your targets may be gone, l believe Allan will go by pick 12 and would not be surprised if Hotton is gone by 15, potentially a club may also gamble on George earlier than 20.
There is a good selection of talent that we should be able to get a long term quality player with our 1st pick, and then look more to the list key requirements at the next two picks.
Unless the Giants offered 15 & 19, l would not considering that deal as 31 is too far down to consider dropping five spots.
the real cleanout we had to have........I have a top 13 who I really rate plus these six who I really like so we are guaranteed to get two of them. It totally comes down to how you rate them though but for me there are 19 guys I’d love to have
