First time poster but thought I would start with my view on the probable 'rookies' likely to play Rd1.
Have considered anyone under $200K to be a rookie although many are not first year players.

Special mention : Will Ashcroft M $202K

Have omitted many popular choices like Chesser, Ginbey, Sinn etc. as I believe they are unlikely to be ready for Rd 1.
Still a long way out and the preseason will have a huge influence, but available rookies will influence structure.

I'm liking Ginbey and Corey Wagner due to both having DEF / MID status .....stick one in DEF and the other in MID
I like that flexibility with rookies, that will play ...but maybe not R1

Could add Stone and Comben to the forwards. Possibly Chandler too, maybe?
Stone seems a lock for forwards.
I think Ginbey is more likely than unlikely for round 1. Eagles have plenty of holes to fill and he's having a ripper pre season. Him and Yeo seem to be playing similar roles where one starts HBF and one starts mid, then switches. Lots of chatter about him as opposed to other draftees at the eagles. Chesser potentially comes through the WAFL to start the season but I would imagine he makes the team fairly quickly as Simo has mentioned a few times we will be focusing on youth this year.
An outside chance to make our round 1 team is Long. Apparently impressing a great deal at training. He would play a small forward type role I'm guessing so doubt he has the scoring but one to keep an eye on as small forward is one of our weaker spots
