When Hayes is fit he's a lock I believeI'm keen to see how Caminiti goes in the ruck
If he can show he can compete it goes a long way to solving that forward/2nd ruck we've been looking for
I'm confident his follow up work in there would be up to standard
When Hayes is fit he's a lock I believe
You've still got to be able to play thoughRoss loves aerobic players

I agree- surely cordy is just keeping Hayes' seat warm for now.
Speaking of locks when fit- coffield is faaaaaaar too good to play at sandy when fit- not matter how well the team are performing.
He's not a mid, not a fwd (probably) not a wingman.
Without sincs or nas being moved, and with stocker currently undroppable- where does he play?
Barrels was always a big fan of Ainsworth I remember that much, couldn't stop talking about his quality of character....
But it's a nah from me, not that great at ground level, a small marking forward and as was pointed out above Higgins is basically a better version of him. If we're gonna poach from the Suns might as well poach someone good.
And they are going to need to cull their list as well as in pretty sure the AFL made allowances for extra spots, but believe that ends this year. He looked very off on Saturday night that's for sure.I know we've already had a few cracks but I can't see Ben Kingsigning another contract at the Suns if they continue to strugglePLAYERCARDSTART34Ben King

We will always struggle to bring in big name players to our club so it's not just as easy as saying we will just bring in an elite mid by offering money.I'm not sure I'd want to pay his wage. He's going to have Collingwood and Essendon types offering him obscene money. I think I'd rather develop Hammer and try to find an absolutely elite mid with that money. A bit of variation in sizes isn't a bad thing these days.
Start the carJust thinking out loud, not saying we should or shouldn't but what if....
A team offers us a first rounder for membrey? Can make a pretty good argument either way imo.
Thoughts?

He must absolutely love this group, 12 can run under 10 minute 3k time trials, another 10 just outside 10 minutes.Ross loves aerobic players

I tend to agree. We need quality to fill obvious gaps and two Kings are a marking nightmare, one up the ground one forward, or swapping.I'm not sure I'd want to pay his wage. Just signed until the end of 2027 not too long agoAnderson.
We should get Noah Anderson.

We've done that time and time again over the last 10 years and none have said yes.
The draft is the best way to find one and we've been able to bolster our midfield over the last two drafts with Phillipou, Owens and Windhager.
I was against chasing him last time because we had too many other holes on the list that needing filling but I'm confident in what we have now
Having the two Kings in our forward 50 would be a nightmare for opposition clubs.
Anderson.
We should get Noah Anderson.
Agreed.
Really like Hammer and can't see having all three of them (King twins + Hammer) in the one forward line working. Better of targeting another elite small forward.

The big question in my mind is are we a two or three tall forward line?
For me, given the game style of high pressure and our running our opposition into the ground, I’m for two talls.
Something like….
Owans Membrey Gresh
Butler King Higgins
7th as a rotating mid - Steele, windy ect.
Unlucky for Hammer and Hayes.
What do people think?? Two or three?
I don't see the point in chasing another ruck that isn't a genuine threat forward. He's just he coming as a back up for Marshall. We've been as exciting as herpes in that time. At least we look like a club on the up this season. We could only buy players who wanted money before. If we can sustain performance under Lyon we will get players for the right reasons.
King hasn't played yet under Lyon but what Hammer offers is an extra defensive forward. If we can turn Max into a defensive weapon I'd feel more confident in paying it. We'd want to ruck Ben as well I reckon.
I'd rather chase Ned Moyle after that game. You'd get him cheap and he looks like a ready made young ruck.
Membrey plays like a key tall despite his heightBut membrey isn't a tall. He's not even 190 cms. You can still play king, Hayes and caminetti and Membrey. As they can all rotate through the f50 and you the wings as well

Yeah, I’m not sure I agree with you re Membrey. Been talked about on here a few times but I’m in the camp that he plays like a tall so he is one.But membrey isn't a tall. He's not even 190 cms.
