I find it pretty interesting that we are going the basketball route rather than picking up international lads.

thank heck, was begging we'd draft a mature ruck for the vfl
don't care if he'll never make the afl but with us playing nank+soldo in the seniors we don't have an actual ruck in the vfl (especially so if we trade one and play Ryan as back up ruck)
so hopefully that'll boost our vfl side and help our vfl mids develop

I don't get the knocks on this. This guy is just as likely to make it as Soldo was when he was taken. It's exactly what CatB spots are used for. They cost nothing.

We are such a professional club, we see how the game is turning into a long version of basketball so we are prepared.
Either that or a few recruiters at the club love a bit of a punt.
