IMO, the only thing good about it was that they didn't lose.Good win by the bombers

St Kilda are flimsy at the best of times, let alone with so many guys out injured.St Kilda are flimsy but a win is a win

It would have been disastrous for Essendon to drop that game.
All good Yods. Yep I watched the game in entirety.unsure if you actually watched the game but Saints midfield rated highly and we won the clearance count so not sure what you're smoking. Would definitely love to know
I don't think you see enough of us if you think we kick lots of goals from the spread. Stoppage yeah, turnover, a little, fwd half defensive turnovers hardly any.All good Yods. Yep I watched the game in entirety.
Was rooting for your boys too.
But I still see lack of grit in the midfield.
I’d like to see what % of scores your side made off the turnover vs the contest. From the eye test today I’d say predominantly the former.
Essendon are great on the spread. Parish, Merritt are great on the second possession out of the clearance, as well as on the fly off the turnover.
Good finals teams have mids that crack in hard and contribute to score chains through strong ball winning grunt.
Even the most one eyed supporter wouldn’t say the bombers showed those traits today, despite the result.
You have no idea how much I watch them really.I don't think you see enough of us if you think we kick lots of goals from the spread. Stoppage yeah, turnover, a little, fwd half defensive turnovers hardly any.
Dude, they bullied a bunch of kids.Another domination in clearances and contested work. A midfielder starting to evolve with strength and breadth of midfield types. Not a weakness with additions of Durham and Setterfield in particular, Perkins emerging.
Mc Grath and Duursma highly influential. Mc Grath having a terrific season to date.
Played poorly first half but certainly gritty and harder for longer. Call it ‘edge’ or whatever you like. They’re winning at the harder stuff.
Ross, Jones, Steele, Hill, Marshall. So much youth.Dude, they bullied a bunch of kids.
Till the bye weeks hitIm calling for a few more edgy wins for the Bombers. The Bombre fans have been no fun lately with all this downcast, "reality has finally hit" attitudes.
A few more edgy h&a wins and Bombre fans will be back to their "i believe" selves.
Bravo edgy Brad, get those spongey tulla floors bouncin' again.

FEEL THE EDGEDude, they bullied a bunch of kids.
Therein lies St Kilda's problem.Ross, Jones, Steele, Hill, Marshall. So much youth.
you must have lived under a rock cause most Bombers supporters think we're no good. Only idiots who believe the media think we're goodIm calling for a few more edgy wins for the Bombers. The Bombre fans have been no fun lately with all this downcast, "reality has finally hit" attitudes.

Who from ST kilda was injured?St Kilda are flimsy at the best of times, let alone with so many guys out injured.

Thought henry was a big out, had been excellent for first two rounds.Who from ST kilda was injured?
Yeah because we had zero injuries and no players out right. Excuses excuses.St Kilda are flimsy at the best of times, let alone with so many guys out injured.

You actually have it the other way around. We rely far too much on getting goals from stoppages and centre clearances and not enough on turnovers (especially forward-half turnovers) and from our defensive half. We have the opposite problem. You have no idea how much I watch them really.
I see them every week as my partner is a Bomber.
But yeah, let’s see how they go against Port next week.
They are the sort of hard, contested ball mids with grit.
If they stand up and beat them thru the middle I’ll get on board and concede they may be changing.
Until then, I believe they need some toughness in the middle. I don’t think that’s really an outrageous statement.
