Review SHOWDOWN 55

Shit, absolute shit. A side full of average players knowing what they are doing against a side of good individual players playing haphazard football.

Where are you Schulzenfest ? Go hard mate and give him both barrels and then some and whilst you're at it, don't forget to also give it to the fitness and conditioning amateurs. Hamstrings and convincing the nincompoop coach that Dixon should start the season half fit. Amateurs put in positions of responsibility by corporate f**k wits.

Nothing makes me more angry that watching us 50 times a game mark the ball 60-75 from goal. Then watch literally every player stand absolutely still inside 50 until we just bomb it high to Charlie’s head.

It’s just beyond mind bogling that this is what we do year after year.
And not only stand still but have Marshall, Dixon and Georgiades all trail their opponents into the aerial contest and not one Port crumber in sight.

We are a team with very little confidence or energy or spirit. We look like we're going through the motions and have done all season so far. Just a stale organisation in desperate need of change. We won't be playing finals this year.
Spot on, the season is done.. just a wasted treading water season.

This game shall henceforth be known as the Connor Rozee Hamstring Tribute Match.

Carr is going to need an extremely successful caretaker period if he's to be selected, surely. I hope even then he doesn't, but if it's a done deal Kochie will have ****ed the club for over 20 years.

No good Rozee JHF Butters etc busting their guts for their work to be wasted upfield. Port started to get the game on their terms later in the first quarter with stoppages out wide but Nicks made sure there was a taller player at the contests from then on and Hinkley had no response.

For me, they over posses the ball, they constantly look for the handball first, and work themselves into trouble. It also confuses the forward line, there is no system, it’s all chaotic.
Also we have a weakness in our fitness. Some of our kicking lacked penetration. No strength in the legs. Goal and field kicking. Also defensive soft efforts, disorganised and not standing on the goal line. Also forwards gave away to me free kicks.
I have never watched a game where so many goals were kicked out the back, joe the goose goals.
Coaches have to take blame for this.

Pathetic club

Frauds

Start at the top - Koch. A fraud of a man that hasn't a clue and has torn the heart out of this club to replace it with his 'new age' vision of what we should be. He's insulted every single person that sacrificed so much to get us where we once were all in the name of his ego. A revolting human.

Richo - a weak man. A bully. A man so far out of his depth it's not funny. Wouldn't get a look in at any other club and knows it so won't do a thing to question anyone, other than bully staff under him. A coward, literally.

Davies - another weak, weak man. He knows what's wrong, he has for years now but he's also wrapped up in the easy cash without accountability.

Hinkley - another weak man. Weak men bring hard times and boy we're seeing that first hand. He keeps the senior players happy, they get to basically do what they want and in turn they keep any resentment from under them getting louder.

It's all you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.

The absolute bottom of the barrel assistants we have. None would get jobs elsewhere and most were loser footballers too. It's just another in the long line of appointing guys that are thankful to even be given such a job so won't bite the hand that feeds them.

Hartlett - there's never been a faker human within the walls of the PAFC.

So is it any wonder we are now the mirror image of those that built us? Weak, scared, pretenders. Almost acting out and existence of being AFL footballers that continually ride on the coat tails of those that created what we once were.

Cripps and Parker have both been there way too long and as anyone can see the list they have built is trash. We have next to nothing coming through and they have been protected for far too long. If it wasn't for the occasional brilliance of some of our absolute top end players we'd be in serious strife - if we aren't already.

Unaccountable, zoning crap that cost us a game against a pretty average opposition tonight. And once again it took Ken ages to address anything at all because he just hasn't a clue what he's doing.

There were a few big positives:
  • Butters tried his guts out and stood up in a big game
  • JHF had an impact with just about every touch
  • Bergman and Houston were very reliable in defence

Some almost positives:
  • thought Wines battled hard, won a number of important contests but just could quite break out to influence the game
  • Rioli was creative and had some influence up the ground, just needed to impact the scoreboard more

And some absolute putrid efforts:
  • Dixon outright sucked. Got absolutely demolished, gave away a bunch of bloody stupid frees, and 11 of his 15 touches were turnovers! Never seen a player contribute so much to the opposition as he did
  • McEntee has -5 metres gained at half time. You’re a permanent forward, how is that possible. Absolutely no impact at all, once again.
  • Marshall as soft and clueless as ever
  • Boak kicking 0.3 as well as losing composure and turning the ball over in our attacking half a number of times
Boaks become a fumbler to go along with his as always shite kicking

Even blind Freddy knew Rozee should have been rested: the carnage of injuries this year and knowing something isn’t right in the fitness department we throw one of our best players out there who is not at 100%.

Await the bullshit that it was his other leg.

This club is so rotten right now, Koch appointment is the worst thing to ever evolve at Alberton. Followed by Ken & Chris Davies who are so inept that our depth is sub-optimal and bottoming out we have a lack of picks anyway.

Tonight was our GWS 2012 moment, it wasn’t who we lost to but how we lost: the only difference is Cam Hitchcock is now Jed McEntee and we have an inferior coach in Ken Hinkley: I would have rather we kept Primus for 12 more years.
