Dumb post.

JHF is a legitimate gun. Making out like he’s some 4th stringer is stupid.

He plays like Voss did, he’s tough as hell, he’s going to be a brute, he kicks goals and he has some shit on his liver.

I’d take him 1st every day of the week.
The way I see it is JHF plays like Hodge and Daicos is the Judd of that draft.

Any club that got access to either would be wrapped but the media (and bigfooty nuffies) will argue forever about who should have been taken first.

This thread is really bringing out the idiots huh. People gotta chill!

I like the pies, always have.

Daicos is a cracking citizen and a credit to his parents. If not now, he will be the best player in the comp for most of his career. A delight to watch.

But they are an ageing team, we were there a few years ago, it's OK, they got a flag out of this list. Adding the likes of Houston shows that they are trying to push again and with a fit list I think they will make finals, but I would take quite a few lists ahead of theirs right now, including Hawthorn's.

I think we will finish higher, we have players all over the park who are yet to peak, plus for some odd reason we really have the wood on them

I'm just glad we play twice this year. Should be fun.

Ok keyboard warrior, besmirch a footy legend on a footy thread with zero evidence.
I was there that night - designated driver.

Although someone was initially charged, the police dropped the charges due to numerous witness testimony, which suggests Pendle's version differed from the truth.

You stated that Ginnivan and Watson don't adhere to AFL's "elite lifestyle," like Pendles and Nick Daicos. I was pointing out that Pendles also had his run-ins with trouble when he was younger. Hence, the comment about people maturing/growing up at different times.

Yep. Made headlines due to Pendles being "king hit from behind", but all charges were dropped.

Pendles is an exceptional player who made mistakes and needed to mature to become the elite player Collingwood needed him to be.

You can also make a similar case for Ginnivan and Watson. Only time will tell if incidents like being too hungover to attend a kids' clinic will be repeated.

I honestly don't remember the Pendles one, probably overshadowed by the likes of Swan, the Shaws and Didak etc [emoji38]

Wiz has highlighted that they have already made up for the mistake of not turning up to the kids clinic …… pretty sure their management won’t be scheduling any other clinics the morning after the clubs B&F. How stupid!

The very reason I laughed at old mate disciple carrying on about elite standards or whatever the hell he was polishing himself about.

Nick watson was too wasted to show up to a kids fking clinic, lads going to be out of the league in 5 years with his cokehead mate ginni

I was HARSH on those boys for missing that clinic. Absolutely no excuses.

Not sure you can question their overall professionalism though.

If you still follow your old mate Ginni on Instagram, check his stories regularly. He is, at the very least, quite professional with his diet and mindfulness.

Collingwood could be very good if absolutely everything goes right. More specifically, no injuries. Their best 22 is very strong and has been bolstered nicely over the off season, but depth is a real worry for me.

I think the chances of Hawthorn being 'better' are higher. With great recruiting, organic growth and a lot of depth, I can only really see them being better than in 2024.

So, my answer is Hawthorn is more likely to be better in 2025.

Well you personally obviously have a positive attitude to these things.

Not sure that applies to every single Hawks supporter. But if that your take on life and football I can't fault your mindset.

You are lucky being a supporter of a club that has tasted recent success.
I would say constant success rather than recent. 13 flags from 64 years equals a flag every 4.92 years.

sure

Nick Daicos is a premiership player and has gotten more brownlow votes in his first three years than any VFL/AFL player ever.

Who on the Hawks is even close to that air?

The same Nick Daicos who only managed 5 disposals in round 21 2023 playing against Finn McGuinness?

His 5 disposals really sealed the win… oops they lost.

what... he broke his ****ing knee in that game - came back from the injury early, then played a massive role in a finals campaign? is this a bit?

Next minute you will be trying to convince us that after the finals he started walking on water 😂

He is a good player, how ever it is still a team game.

He had 9 CBAs, 60% TOG and played about 3 quarters before he got injured btw, although it’s not relevant at all.
I actually do not understand the point you are trying to make lol. He was going to win the brownlow before he got injured, came back and won a flag... are you saying he had a bad 2023? what
