Need to drop one of the big dogs this week. One of the guys we see as top 10 at the club. A message needs to be sent to give blokes a fear that if they don’t meet a standard, they can spend some time playing at 12 o’clock.

My changes -

Phillips in and assign him to Butters. Phillips has looked best when assigned a defensive role as it has helped him find the ball more which he struggles with. He's also a committed defensive player.

Powell to HF with stints in midfield. AO is a good ground for someone like Powell to play of HF.

Drop Logue for Pink. He has to go. Fitness is terrible and Pink has looked much better. Stop rewarding crap senior players.

Drop Zurhaar. Enough it enough. Make a stand. He's contributing nothing. He's greedy. He spoils teammates, gets in their way etc. He is adding nothing to the side.

Darling isn't contributing and needs a rest - bring in Teakle.

Tell LDU to stop doing the same thing every time he gets the ball. It's ****ing predictable and players/clubs aren't idiots.

Tell the players to look before they handball. Lost count of the amount of times we handpassed to a player with an opponent directly alongside/behind them.

Defensive set-up/structure is the big one. Getting constantly caught up with an open D50 and even numbers is not it. Particularly with shit defenders.

Don't overdo the handpass. Clubs are expecting it. We're not effective when trying to hit up a target with time and space so getting metreage by kicking it long isn't the worst tactic for our team. It's hard to set-up against defensively as we're not entering our F50 in a predictable manner. We don't have the players to go short and tight.

Maybe we can argue Bailey Scott’s ‘big dog’ status some other time, but he is not the type I’m talking about. I’d throw Bailey in with a Tom Powell. Dropping Powell would not send a ripple through the team.

Dropping a big contract player like Logue, Daniel or Zurhaar would (or maybe I should say ‘could’) have a impact on the group, ‘don’t care who you are, if you ain’t putting in the effort, you can play in the magoos’. Something has to give these blokes a kick in the arse.

Not saying they are directly related, but the dees drop Fritch and JVR, and they probably roll out their best ‘effort’ game of the year.

I could make the case for dropping 3-4 (probably more TBH) players from the backline.

I could make the case to drop 3-4 players from the midfield.

I could make the case to drop 3-4 players from the forwardline.

What a sorry state of affairs this is.

Change 12 players, change 2 players, roll in unchanged.

I doubt anything beyond divine intervention will change the outcome of this game.
