This!!

When we user to sing our club song it was with gusto.

Freo seem to want to get it over with as quick as possible.

I don't mind it with all the music, but it's a terrible song to sing just the words. They might have something to work with using the old "Freo heave ho" slow chant, but that's gone now. Bolton comes here from Richmond with their classic song, and ours is a complete turd to sing in comparison.

It’ll happen. The first scapegoat straight out.
It’s wet, it’s greasy. Need more mids out there.
Wasn’t the best game from Erasmus - but was ok. I would keep him in for now but pressure will come from JOM and NOD. Sharp has be under the most pressure - also under pressure from the same two players. Sharp was slightly better than last game but only marginally. Really struggles in the wet. He did pull off a couple of exiting d50 kicks.

JOM after not pulling up good enough to play this week needs a run with Peel.

My ins this week would be:
  • Pearce or McDonald > Draper
  • Dudley > Switta

I’d also be tempted to pull the trigger on NOD > Sharp. They seemed to be giving NOD a few rests on the bench in the 2nd half, which makes me think they were keeping him somewhat fresh for the shorter break.

If Darcy needs a rest then play the extra midfielder, which would be either NOD or JOM.

Drapers ability to constantly give away unnecessary free kicks will cause me more grey hairs soon.

I say this weekly, but Amiss........could drop him for OMac and lose nothing. Honestly........
Except the more games Amiss plays the closer he gets to reaching his potential. If we don't have a superstar forward to slip in we are better off giving games to this very young KPF.

Haven't seen a single team perform well after a bye so willing to take the 4 and move on. North pressure was immense and they hit hard.

Feel we're missing Dudley as a connecting piece. Treacy contributes hugely around the ground, and some of his delivery i50 was sublime. Amiss did ok at ground level, but got to kick those two goals. I think we get 5 goals up early by kicking straight, and we waltz it. Darcy was good tonight as Xerri would've killed Jackson 1v1 the whole game.

David King's point about knuckling down and regaining momentum after the 5 straight goals was spot on.

Thursday's important; got to get back to our best as Essendon will be up for it.

A few guys won their moments and won us this game. Pat Voss was enormous and should’ve had 4 goals. JT at the end. Jacko at times.

We were massively outplayed, by a bottom 4 side at home. Are we not serious, and got lucky? Or was this just a game we needed to win. I dunno yet. But glad to get out of jail tonight.
Yeah you do. We all know deep down.

Could use that logic to every player under 25. Respectfully, that's a weak logic. Ginni gets dropped and comes back in very good form.

Rachelle, Thilthorp are a few more examples.

Amiss has done the minimum for a long time now. Nothing wrong with dropping him and telling him to work on his game and build confidence

My thoughts

What a soulless game , no energy and the crowd numbers were crap

Freddy needs a kick up the ass

Draper looks like a lost deer from his mum, very unreliable

Darcy better than jacko tonight but a liability around the ground

Switta injury sucks

Ground will be a mess after eagles game, rain all week and origin game literally the night before the bombers game. Who could plan this?

It may well be logic you disagree with but it ain’t weak. Amiss has the potential to be our best forward for the next decade and he’ll learn nothing to improve himself playing WAFL. He will continually learn playing AFL.

Even when he consistently under performs? Strongly disagree. Nothing wrong with a game at Peel to fire him up.

Out of curiosity, what's the expiry date on his "young" and weekly excuses? The excuses are getting real old, but curious to know when some people wanna stop using them?

Also agree on the Serong disposal criticism, hes rushing when he doesnt need to and often making poor decision when kicking. HOWEVER, I thought it was him and Andy that went to work getting momentum back half way through the fourth.

Typical to see a lot of hyperbole. Some of Serong's disposal has been absolute trash, but he remains the best ground ball player in the comp. His defensive intent was absolutely elite and that's what sets our mids apart from other midfields.

Still our highest rated player by far. Some just can't look past the mistakes.

I have usually defended him, but I was really disappointed in Johnson tonight. This type of game is made for him, maybe I don't understand his role, but he just doesn't go in hard and is so indecisive at times. Just back yourself in Matty.

I said before the game I would be happy just taking the 4 points no matter the score so I'm not going to change that opinion based on what happened. North are also underrated, they're much better than their ladder position suggests, they have lost a lot of close ones.

Backs were excellent but badly missed Pearce, mids were beaten by a good midfield, forwards lacked connection, I wouldn't say our forwards were beaten, I think they beat themselves if that makes sense. Many missed chances.

North have that deliberate rope-a-dope style. Just glad that we have matured to the point where the boys don't panic. They dig in and get their hands dirty and wrestle the game back on our terms.

Was it a great performance, no, but it wasn't all shit either. We won a game where in recent seasons we would lose. Progress for a young team. Looking forward to an improved performance on Thursday.

Lastly, when the hell did we become a good wet weather team?!

Take the win but geez.
Forward’s missing regulation set shots.
Worst of all is the way we shut up shop once we get a few goals in front.
We should have buried that game in the 3rd Q instead we just play tempo football and leave them within range.
Kudos for hanging on but it never should have been this close.
Hopefully we can get some momentum back after the bye hoodoo and the short break gets us back in focus.

We were brilliant when the rain came down in the second. We were fumbly and slipping over and lethargic when coming out to start the third. Rain good, but with no rain and slippery terrible.

Been overseas the past month so haven't watched our games super closely.

What's going on with Treacy not hitting the scoreboard? Have he and Jye switched roles or something?
