Not pretty, but you take the win. Showed some character to wrestle momentum back, thought we'd be overrun for sure in the final quarter. Our forward 50 entries really suck without Young.
Sometimes you just bank the win and move on to next week

Generally not, why cant the AFL get rid of 5 weeks of byes and just have a bye for every team in the same week at the mid point of the season.

Treacy is just so much less clean as of late. I really think we're a top 4 contender if he can find form again but the first third of the season compared to now is night and day.

Erasmus was useful with his body work and groundball wins. I like his tackle pressure and would hope JL doesn’t swap him out as he is building and will surpass JOM

The game changed with Amiss's missed snap, IMO. They went straight up the other end from the kick in and scored. They then had all the run.

Both Treacy and Amiss need to lift. Neither of them are playing anywhere near to their potential and it's frustrating. Yes they do some good things up the ground but bloody Voss a delisted player has a bigger presence up forward.

• Switta playing one of his best games in a long time
• Brayshaw and Serong worked hard all night
• Treacy marking up the grounf and game saving mark

• Serongs 0% efficiency from his first 5 kicks , but still managed to be the highest rated player on the ground
• A forward line who cant kick set shot goals
• A lot of really poor performances from the likes of Draper, Freddy, Sharp, Amiss... probably half the team really.
• A forward line that doesnt tackle

Agreed. Darcy did quite well. Actually outpointed Xerri quite a bit in the ruck contests. Luke Jackson played ruck rover well and overall thought they worked well. Our midfield got beat.

Also North were epic with their tackling pressure. Broke a record for i50 tackles. So many of our players across board - Murphy, Fyfe, Ryan, Voss, Bolton come to mind - all too slow and didn’t take the obvious first option - resulting in critical HTB decisions.

Also Amiss and Treacy were terrible with set shots.

How good has Worner's development been this season. He has gone from delist material to a very solid defender. The dude is so tough, doesn't panic and even takes contested marks.

My god bunch of pessimists here. We literally played brilliant football for three weeks prior to the bye. Every team has played shit/flat after the bye not even sure any team other than us has won after the bye. Not to mention the pathetic football I have witnessed by all teams the past couple of weeks. A win is a win.

It’s wet, it’s greasy. Need more mids out there.

Horrific watching experience aside, I thought most of the defence was excellent, Ryan and Cox in particular. I do think Pearce for Draper is a monumental upgrade though and cant wait to get him back out there.

Hugely unpopular opinion - Serongs last month has been massively overrated, quantity over quality. Constantly hack kicks it forward when he has options and his inside 50's are high but they deliver nothing

Would like to know his inside 50 efficiency. Just miles off elite value. His left kicking is really a let down.

I’m just about out of patience with Amiss. This shit has been going on for too long now. Either drop him, get someone to work with him on his technique and routine and if he’s already working on it for a while then he may not be a player we hoped he would be since there’s no improvement as yet.

His lack of blocking on the goal line for Voss’ 4th goal was piss poor

Draper isn’t near the level at the moment. Pearce back will be huge
