Just Nicks being stubbon and insisting on maintaining the 3 talls structure despite the cattle.

He has repeatedly stated that we have the luxury of playing 3 talls because they're so talented and apply great pressure. Well Burgess provides neither of those, so why not go smaller?

at least Burgess tried. He maybe shit but he was one of the few players who actually showed like they care and had heart.

The bad

The ugly> the rest of the players going to perth were on a holiday. disgraceful effort by a lot of star players. Some woke up but for most of the game I think we genuinely just played like it was just going to happen. Bruise free footy, golden tickets, call the issue what you like. Clearly most of the team should be ****ing embarrassed.

Some noticeably shit and I am calling them out

Hinge, Worrell, Keane, Thilthorpe, Rankine, Murray, Pedlar, Keays, Fogarty, ANB could add many others.

Great: Taylor keeping us alive with some brilliant pressure. Rankine putting the team on his back in the 2nd half. Filthy being ok. 4 points in the bank and a game clear on top.

Bad: the rest. Move on.

Rankine did no such thing.

But curious about which part, the goal on the back of what Curtin did? the lack of tackling pressure where a player jogged around him? the shitty disposal that cost us goals, the standing out the back of packs waiting for cheap ball?

Lots of bathwater was drunk. Most of all by our coaches. 3 talls is precarious. It works because of the personnel, not because the system is genius. Burgess is not up to it, and the forward line looked dysfunctional. I hope they have learned - we need a plan B. Dawson? Curtin? 2 talls?

Jones and Burgess are so off AFL standard, so far off. It goes to show how you can dominate at SANFL and just be a liability at AFL level.

The fumbling, two touching today was just annoying, a mature team has composure and we had very little today. All of our panicking just egged the Eagles on.

On the positive, at least Nicks and the coaching group kept changing up the personnel until they got it right but geez, picking Jones, Burgess, both of them just poo

Its called WCE running out of gas. More seasoned players are going to get back into the game by default.

had a great year that year but others have gone past him now. Great depth player though and a handy player to have who can play a role if injuries occur.
