BnF, 2/3 or 3/3 of the "Big 3" H&A awards, brilliant finals series in multiple premiership seasons (with a GF season wedged in between) makes a hell of a 3 year run. Nick hasn't gotten close to that yet.

Ablett stands alone amongst 21st century players for wins and podium finishes in the big 3 awards, with 10 wins and another 8 podium finishes.

Daicos currently has 2 wins and 5 additional podium finishes, having racked these up before GAJ had troubled the scorers.

When do you think Daicos will go past GAJ?

I'm tipping after the 2031 season, when Daicos is 28.

Maybe that's the sort of run Daicos will have 2026-2028. I'm actually pretty excited. Are you?

You want to be careful about how you protect Ablett's standing against the rise of Nick.

Just 2 Geelong BnFs for GAJ, solid but nothing special.

Pinning so much on finals doesn't work well for Gaz. Three good, but not award winning, final series in his career isn't exactly up there in the pantheon of final's players.

Daicos already has more norm smith votes in premiership winning teams (4) than GAJ managed in his career (just 2).

No need to convince, his output speaks for itself.

Have to go back to guys like Coleman or Reynolds to find a player who has had a better first four years of AFL/VFL footy.

You then get a bunch a strange opposition fans, like yourself, who claim not to care but then post about how some other players had better seasons or were great in their late 20s, completely missing the point of the....can he be part of the thread.
