During the week spoke to a guy who went to school with him. Asked him what sort of athlete he was, the response was didn't think he was anything special and certainly wasn't at the front of the pack so a bit surprised where he has ended up being able to run 16kms in a match and mowing down a guy like Dan Rioli. Probably a case of a tall taking longer to become coordinated.

Can't help but feel this guy is going to come on out of no where in 2026. Having surprised as a KPD in a foreign role, the opportunity to succeed in his natural position must be afforded him.

I'll be watching how Blakiston goes in 2026.
He has been remarkable addition into our team. He played all the games as a backman, not in his ruck position . He didn't get injured. When he had the ball he didn't panic pass and usually made the right calls.

Looks like he has yet to play in a winning AFL match. Well lets see if 2026 will give him that.

He suprised me with his acceleration as he is not your usual lumbering ruck. Actually has a quick burst which he used to close the distance to spoil

If people missed it, he played the last quarter against Gold Coast in the ruck for those who want to see what he's like in there. Matched up on Witts so no second string guy.

Was a truly weird watch at times, like he grew up without a TV and so he often moves very differently to the way anyone would expect
